Walking in God's will

Good morning

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 5:1-4

Praise song: Spirit Lead Me

Meditation:

Arthur Blessitt, a travelling evangelist born in Mississippi, is well known as the preacher who carried a cross through every nation of the world. Through many dangers, toils, and snares, the grace of God kept him. Through difficult times and the hottest battlefield, he held on to faith and trusted God to lead him safely. He went on the mission, determined to spread the gospel, leading souls to Calvary. He walked through lonely deserts, across hills and valleys, teaching the will of God as he bore the weight of the heavy wooden cross.

Listening to this inspiring account provides a true reflection of what it means to genuinely follow and obey the Lord's command, to accept his will, and to trust Him wholeheartedly. It offers a clearer understanding of the essence of trusting God and walking by faith. Blessitt obeyed the call to witness to the lost. His choice of reaching souls to deliver the message of salvation may appear strange and unusual. Still, the most significant lesson is that many lives were touched by his dedication and commitment to doing the work of an evangelist. As he carried the wooden structure across nations, many lives were touched, and people came to surrender to God. Maybe God is speaking to you today, but you have not yet obeyed his voice. Is he calling you to be an ambassador for him, but you are basking in your comfort zone, too busy to avail yourself? Will you trust his plan today and listen to his voice? God will not lead you where his grace cannot keep you.

Let us pray:

Father, I am amazed by your power and faithfulness as I listen to the testimony of a man who trusted you with his whole heart and life. Almighty God, I realize that I need to trust you more. Lord, I may have failed you many times, but I pray, O God, that you will teach me your ways and guide me in your truth so I can walk with you gracefully, for you are the God of my salvation. Spirit of the living God, teach me to recognize your still small voice, strengthen my faith, and lead me where my trust in you has no border. Remove far from me the spirit of distraction, O God, so I can listen attentively and heed your will. Almighty God, I pray that the counsel of the Lord God will prevail against any evil devices in my heart so I can willingly obey your voice in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Wishing you a blessed and peaceful day. ✌💖🙏
