The Throne of Grace
Good morning
Scripture: Hebrews 4: 14-16
Praise song: Bow down and Worship
Meditation:
The high priest alone had the privilege of entering the innermost chamber of the temple once a year, where he offered a sacrifice to God on behalf of himself and the people to atone for their sins. The sacrifices were offered by the high priest, respectively, for himself, the other priests, and the people. The animals offered for the remission of sin had no spots, defects, or blemishes. The priest was given the task of carrying the burden, the heavy weight, and the iniquities of the people before the throne of grace.
This responsibility changed when Jesus Christ came and sacrificed himself for
the atonement of our sins. Through Christ, the role of the priest as an
intercessor has been abolished, and everyone now has direct unlimited access to
God's grace. Therefore, let us accept this golden opportunity with gratitude,
come boldly to the throne of grace, submit to the will of our master, and
surrender so that we may obtain grace and mercy.
Let us pray:
Dearest Father, I give you thanks, O God, for your son,
Jesus Christ, who offered his life as a sacrifice for the remission of our
sins. We are grateful for the privilege granted to us to come boldly to the
throne of grace so that we may obtain grace and mercy in times of need. Father,
I pray earnestly for compassion and that you will subdue our iniquities and
cast all our sins into the sea of forgetfulness. Almighty God, only Christ can
fashion anew the character that has been ruined by sin. Father, I sincerely ask
that, as we pray, you will expel the iniquities and immoralities that control
our minds and our will. Almighty God, there is nothing I desire more than to
dwell in your presence forever, obeying your will, your commands, and learning
your ways. Father, please grant us the power to triumph over sin and its
dominating power. Take not your Holy Spirit from us, O God, but restore unto us
the joy of your salvation, and keep us as the apple of thine eye in the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Wishing you divine protection. 💕🙏🙏
