Nothing Can Separate Us

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 59:1-8 Worship song: Nothing Can Separate   Meditation:      The love of Christ is limitless; it does not come with any condition; therefore, it does not depend on our actions or character. There is nothing we can do to diminish or destroy his love for us, and nothing can separate us from his love. Apostle Paul in Romans 8 proclaims that no one can separate us from the love of Christ, not even tribulation, persecution, famine, death, or angels. Though it is not possible to change how much God loves us, we can cause God to turn his face away from us. God turned his face away, not because he no longer loves us, but because our hearts are corrupt and filled with evil deeds.        Our sins and iniquities separate us from the Holy God because he does not tolerate sin. We become separated from God when our hands are defiled with the blood of the innocent, when our lips speak lies, when we meddle in misch...

Knit Together in Love

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Colossians 2:1-8 Worship song: Lead Me O Lead Me   Meditation:      Apostle Paul was deeply concerned about the spiritual well-being of all believers. He was aware that traditional human practices and rituals seemed spiritual but were not rooted in Christ's teachings. Paul's concern extended specifically to the believers in the Colossian church and Laodicea, as well as others he had never personally encountered, who were being influenced and misled by false teachers.       As a teacher of the gospel of Christ, Paul's relentless efforts were dedicated to guiding believers, and helping them understand God's truth, urging them to build their faith in Christ so they would not be misled by human rules, experiences, or false teachings. Paul's protection of believers is a demonstration that true spiritual stewardship requires leaders to extend the same genuine care to others' souls as they do their own, especiall...

The Essential Role

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Ephesians 6:1-9 Worship song: Teach Me to Obey   Meditation:      The Apostle Paul, in his sixth epistle to the Ephesians, addresses the household and how believers should live their lives in light of salvation. He specifically addresses the responsibility within the family structure, urging respect, obedience, and adherence to instructions. Paul highlights the essential role of instilling biblical principles, particularly encouraging fathers to guide their children with love and wisdom.       Children are encouraged to honor and respect their parents, aligning their behavior with godly authority. Children's obedience to parents and servants to their masters should be motivated by the desire to honor God and live by his precepts. Likewise, the master should treat their servant with respect, justice, fairness, and kindness, knowing they have to answer to their heavenly Master. Let your conduct be honorable ...

At The Checkpoint

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 1 Cor. 11:28-31 Worship song:  I Give You My Heart   Meditation:      During 2020, several military checkpoints were established in different areas under enhanced security measures to intercept the free movement of criminals. The things exposed during scrutiny at a checkpoint are quite alarming. A checkpoint is a barrier or manned entrance, typically at a border, where travelers are subject to security checks. It is also a place where vehicles are examined.       Jesus Christ has established a checkpoint, and daily we are scrutinized by our Lord Jesus Christ. All our deeds, thoughts, and actions are recorded, whether they are good or evil. It is our personal responsibility to ensure our lives align with the divine requirements of our Lord. This requires examining our hearts, minds, lifestyles, and spiritual connections to ensure they align with God's will. We must confess our sins and repent daily to ...

God Favored Me

Image
Good morning Day of Testimony- God Favored Me I  will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Psalms 22:22 Worship song: I Will Say of The Lord   My Testimony:      Although I accepted Jesus Christ in my teenage years, I did not know what it meant to genuinely serve Him. I broke my covenant with Christ, but after several years of wandering through the wilderness, I came to realize that my life is meaningless without Him. Now I am walking in newness of life with Christ as my anchor and my rock. I draw strength from the divine assurance that I am never alone, even amidst the toughest struggles.       When I remember the price Christ paid for my redemption, and when I remember that the broad road leads to destruction, I must fight the good fight of faith, hold firm to God's promise of eternal life, whereunto I am called, and have publicly professed before many witnesses. Looking back, m...

How great is Our God

Image
Good morning - Day of prayer Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. Psalms 48:1-2   Worship song: How Great Is Our God Let us Pray:      Merciful, Wonderful Savior, great are you, Lord, and greatly to be praised. There is none as great as you, Lord. I will lift my voice in gratitude, O God, and praise you for your goodness; you are gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. I will sing of your unsearchable greatness, which far exceeds our wildest imagination. You speak into the darkness, and light appears. Lord, I praise you for your awesome power; you commanded the dust of the ground to form man, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living soul. Lord, you are undeniably the God of Impossibilities; you command the elements an...

You are Not Forgotten

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 49:14-16 Worship song: I Am Not Forgotten   Meditation:      It is natural to wrestle with feelings of abandonment, especially when faced with misfortune and or unforeseen challenges. The ancient Israelites expressed deep anxiety, assuming that their hardships were proof that they had been forsaken by God. They felt completely abandoned, interpreting God's silence as a sign of divine anger towards them. Despite their pleas, immediate divine intervention did not occur. In their agony, waiting and bewailing their relentless situation for prompt deliverance,   God reassures them by informing them that he has engraved them on the palms of his hands. He compared his unwavering love to that of a mother's love for her child, emphasizing that while human compassion may falter, His love is steadfast and eternal.       You may sometimes feel forgotten by God but rest assured God has not forgotten you. He...

Icing on the Cake

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 Praise song: Your Grace and Mercy   Meditation:      When a cake is covered with frosting, all you can see is the sculptor's intricate design, incorporating precise shapes and patterns to achieve an appealing finish. Cakes that are broken are not discarded but covered so you cannot see the imperfections that lie beneath the attractive decorations of their beautiful frosting. This is what grace does to our brokenness. The grace of God is a redeeming act of love that covers our brokenness like icing on a cake, transforming it into His radiant beauty until we are completely whole. God's grace is sufficient to forgive and cleanse all sins, offering a path to redemption and a new beginning.       No matter the condition of our heart, the grace of God who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus Christ will strengthen, establish, and make you perfect. The grace of God is sufficie...
