You are Not Forgotten
Good morning
Scripture reading: Isaiah 49:14-16
Worship song: I Am Not Forgotten
Meditation:
It is natural to wrestle with feelings of abandonment, especially when faced with misfortune and or unforeseen challenges. The ancient Israelites expressed deep anxiety, assuming that their hardships were proof that they had been forsaken by God. They felt completely abandoned, interpreting God's silence as a sign of divine anger towards them. Despite their pleas, immediate divine intervention did not occur. In their agony, waiting and bewailing their relentless situation for prompt deliverance, God reassures them by informing them that he has engraved them on the palms of his hands. He compared his unwavering love to that of a mother's love for her child, emphasizing that while human compassion may falter, His love is steadfast and eternal.
You may sometimes feel forgotten
by God but rest assured God has not forgotten you. He knows exactly where you
are and what you are going through right now. When you are facing challenges,
do not be dismayed or terrified, for the Lord your God will be with you. You will
not face your adversary alone because the Lord promises not to leave or forsake
you. He will deliver you from captivity and set you free. Wait patiently for
God; He is a faithful God, and He will show up just in time. Be of good
courage, and wait, I say, on the Lord. Even amid change and uncertainty, the
Lord does not change; he remains the same.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, I give you thanks for your word that
strengthens my faith and reminds me that you will never abandon me. Even though
there are times I feel forgotten and feel like I am alone in my challenges, I
am grateful for the unwavering assurance that you are always with me. Thank
you, Lord God, for your compassion that fails not. Almighty God, I relinquish
all control, and I place my life and will into your hands, acknowledging that
you know what is best for me. Most of all, thank you, Lord, for your unconditional
love, mercy, grace, and faithful promises through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.
Have a wonderful day. 💕👏🙏
What a word for the now situation. This is the pathway for many of God's children, it is on this wise that the Apostle Paul cried out, oh that i may know Him and the power of His resurrection. There is something else that one need to carry them through the wilderness of life when face with adverse weather. Help from above is what will do it and is minutely, hourly and daily.
