Can't Be Canceled or Rescheduled

Good morning

Scripture reading: Hebrews 9: 27-28

Worship song: Death Was Arrested

Meditation:

An appointment is a scheduled, formal meeting with specific details determined by the purpose of the gathering. Not all scheduled appointments are kept; some are canceled, while others are postponed. The decision to cancel or reschedule often depends on the nature or urgency of the subject matter. Scheduling appointments helps maintain commitments, but there are those people who sometimes reschedule appointments for their convenience.  Nevertheless, there is an appointment that is certain for all people. We cannot reschedule, cancel, or ignore it because we do not have the power to control its existence.

Death is a fixed appointment for all humans. We are appointed once to die, but after death comes the judgment. There are no exception and no exemption. Death is no respecter of persons; be prepared and ready, for there is no repentance and confession in the grave. Do not fear; we can overcome death when we repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Live each day in the presence of God as if it were your last day. Cherish every moment and act now, for life's duration is uncertain. Every day given is the opportune time to make your calling and election sure while grace abounds and the blood is still running warm in your veins. Behold, Jesus stands at the door and knocks. If anyone hears Jesus' voice and opens the door to their heart, he will come in and dwell forever. (Revelation 3:20)

Let us pray:

Almighty God, our divine redeemer, I exalt you as my Lord and King, the God who is in control of the heavens and the earth. Lord God, I acknowledge your sovereignty and power. We reverence you this morning, Lord God, acknowledging that only You, O God, know our beginning and end; You alone know our appointed schedule with death, holding the key to hell and death; I pray, Lord God, that our souls will be rooted and grounded, anchored in you always, and that we will not sway to the left nor to the right but focus on you, the author and finisher of our faith. God of a second chance, I pray that we will make our calling and election sure because we know not when the death angels will visit us. Please forgive us, Lord God, of our trespasses and cleanse us with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem our lives from destruction and crown us with Your mercies through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏

  1. Ready or not. This is why each day must be lived in readiness. It is the moment when one feel ok, jolly, happy and this this will last that sudden destruction strike and it becomes very painful and unbearable. The only hope is in Jesus Christ who gives hope for the future. One does not have to live their days in darkness and their eternity in darkness, there is hope, life, and light. 🙏🙏🙏
