Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, clothed in splendor and majesty, we exalt you, O Lord, for you alone are worthy to receive glory, honor, and praise. Lord God, we acknowledge your sovereignty and control over all things, and so we bow in reverence before you, singing, "Holy, holy is Lord God Almighty. We thank you, Most Holy God, for extending grace and mercy unto the just and the unjust. We are grateful for the opportunity you have granted us, allowing us time to repent and set our house in order. 

    Merciful God, we admit that we have forsaken your commandments and have participated in unholy things. We repent of our idol worship and carnal mindedness. Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion, blot out our transgressions. Wash away all our iniquity and cleanse us from our sin. Lord God, I beseech you not to turn away from us but pity us in our time of distress. We cast our cares on you, Lord, knowing you are a compassionate God who cares. Stretch forth your mighty hand, O God, over our nation, heal our land, and guide your people back to righteousness. 

    Lord, we have strayed from the path of holiness, seeking to fulfill our selfish desires, but this morning, O God, we surrender all to you. Restore the hearts of your people, O God, for their hearts have become desperately wicked, engaging in acts that defile your holy name. Lord, as we struggle to pick up the broken pieces, may we turn our eyes on you and worship you in spirit and truth. We pray that you, O God, will be a safe harbor for the homeless, a fortress for the vulnerable, and a helper for the needy. In the face of adversity, we turn to you, most Holy God, knowing you will deliver and provide divine protection to the righteous in all their afflictions. We express sincere gratitude to you, Lord God, for granting us access to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

    Our current state at the time of death determines our eternal destination. How careful ought one to be in living because what will take us out of this world, no one knows. Let us help each other to make it. Blessings. 🙏🙏

Good morning Scripture reading: Exodus 1:7-22 Worship song: Jesus Loves Me   Meditation:      Historically, both the Pharaoh, ruler of ancient Egypt, and King Herod, ruler of Judea, initiated schemes to eliminate all newborn males. Herod's motive was to eliminate the potential rival to his power, believing that the child prophesied to be the king of the Jews was a threat to his reign. Pharaoh's motive was similar to that of Herod. Pharaoh saw the Israelites as a potential threat, believing that they would join forces with his allies against him. He tried to control their growth by enslaving them and making them serve with rigor.
