You Shall Be Free Indeed

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. John 8:31-36

Worship song: I'm Free

Meditation:

Isaiah, the messianic prophet, prophesied that the spirit of the Lord would be upon him who would be anointed to preach to the meek, proclaim freedom to the captives, and liberate those who are bound in prisons. Jesus declared the prophecy of Isaiah fulfilled immediately after reading the scripture recorded in Isaiah 61 to the Nazarenes (as recounted in Luke 4:18-21 of the Bible). In doing so, he revealed himself as the promised Messiah, the one designated to deliver and rescue his people from spiritual bondage and the oppression of sin.

Jesus came as the perfect, sinless Son of God to save humanity from the power of evil and bring us back to God. He took on a human body without any sin or flaw, like a pure and spotless sacrifice, to rescue us from being trapped by Satan. Through Jesus Christ, all sinners are granted the same privilege to receive redemption and freedom from sin's dominion power. To be freed and have the peace of God, you need to look to Jesus Christ, confess, repent, and reconcile with him for the remission of your sin. Having been liberated from the slavery of sin, hold firmly to your newfound freedom in Christ. Resist becoming entangled once more in old habits, because genuine freedom comes through Him alone.

Let us pray:

Merciful Savior, my God, and deliverer, I glorify you for your unmerited love and your redemption power. God and Father, I have sinned against You alone, and only You have the power to redeem me from the dominion of sin. I humbly ask that You help me stand firm in the freedom that Christ has given me. I give you thanks, O God, for sending your son Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins. I am grateful, O God, that we are offered a path to freedom from the power of sin. We are wholeheartedly thankful for your grace, which is greater than our sins, and I am grateful to you because I am no longer bound as a slave to sin but bound to righteousness through Jesus Christ. Thank you, Lord God, for you have sacrificed yourself for the benefit of restoring the brokenhearted, delivering the captives, and giving freedom to all who seek to be loose from the dominion power of sin. Thank you, Almighty God, through Jesus Christ, for your grace, which is greater than our sins. Amen.

Wishing you a blessed day. 💕🙏👐

  1. Thinking of free excite me. Being in the free air is something I cherish, as a gardener and one who loves the outdoors, many under the shades and feel the cool breeze romancing my body is so sweet, when the breeze stop, you can't wait for it to come back. However Being free from sin is far better since our eternity is tied to our freedom from sin. All chains that are holding us back in sin must be broken. No more chains should claim us. To God be the glory. 💪💪🙏🙏
