The birth of Jesus Christ
Season greetings
Scripture reading: Isaiah 53
Worship song: Emmanuel
Meditation:
While the exact date of Jesus's birth remains a subject of ongoing discussion among Bible scholars and historians, the precise time was not specified in the four canonical Gospels. This lack of a definitive date has led to centuries of debate, with various the with theories suggesting his birth might have occurred in August, May, June, or April. Although Jesus' precise birth date was not recorded, the core events of his life, crucifixion and miraculous resurrection stand as powerful truths in history. We know Jesus came to save and to call sinners to repentance. His blood was shed for the remission of our sins so we can have life and have it more abundantly.
We do know Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light; no one can come to the
Father except through Him. He is our waymaker, our healer, our provider, and
our miracle-working God. He is our burden bearer and the giver of life. He is
our friend who sticks closer than a brother, our shepherd, our Lord, and our
King. He is the only door to salvation, and we know He exists before time
began. Do not turn Him away. Do not let this opportunity pass you by; He is
just a prayer away.
Let us pray:
Mighty God, I may not know your exact date of birth, but I
do know all my sins are forgiven, and I am redeemed, bought with the price you
paid. Almighty God, through your redemptive sacrifice, I am liberated from the
dominion of sin and have become a joint heir with You in God's grace. Jehovah
God, words cannot fully express the depth of my gratitude for your sacrificial
death, which granted the remission of our sins. Lord, you endured a gruesome
price for my sake, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I pray that my
gratefulness for your sacrificial love, grace, and mercy will be reflected in
my obedience to do your will. Mighty God, I trust and depend on you to keep me
rooted and grounded, steadfast, and focused on you. Keep me near the cross, and
do not let me slip into the coma of my sins. Thank you, Daddy Jesus, for
nailing my sins on the cross. Thank you, Lord, for it is by your stripes that I
am made whole, and it is your love that breaks the chain that bound me. Lord, I
give thee thanks for renewed strength, peace, and the opportunity to reconcile
and make right all my wrongs through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Happy holiday. 💕🙏
He is altogether lovely. He is our desire. What a lovely name, the name of Jesus. Come let us adore Him, Christ our Lord. 🙏
