Patience is a Virtue

Good Morning

Scripture reading: James 5:7-11

Mediation song: Be Still My Soul

Meditation:

Patience is a vital attribute that enables individuals to maintain self-control during periods of waiting. It allows us to steadfastly and persistently pursue our long-term objectives, despite encountering various adversities. Although cultivating patience may be difficult, it is an invaluable skill that can be developed over time. This virtue empowers us to endure frustration, illness, pain, provocation, and financial hardships without succumbing to despair or irritability. Those who persevere through difficulties and trust in God's divine timing are better equipped to cope with life's struggles than those motivated by arrogance or anger.

As Ecclesiastes 7:8 reminds us, it is crucial to cultivate patience, depend on God's timing, and avoid the quicksand of pride. Upon reflection, we can recognize the extraordinary patience that God has extended to us throughout our lives, as he guides us and awaits our acceptance of his love. God's patience knows no bounds; He guides us through our mistakes and remains steadfast as we transform. His word assures us that He is slow to anger, exemplifying His infinite patience. We find assurance in knowing that God's patience is a profound manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit bestowed upon all believers.

Let us pray:

Holy, Righteous, and Loving God of the Universe, we express our gratitude for your boundless patience. Inspire us, O God, to recognize the profound sacrifice you have made and the immense patience demonstrated in our transformation. Lord, grant us the strength to remain patient in our struggles and to extend patience to others as they battle their own struggles. Father, instill in us the spirit of endurance so that we may run this race with patience governed by your divine direction. Deepen our sense of understanding during difficulty and strengthen our trust in you as we face trials. Teach us, Almighty God, to embrace patience and acknowledge that everything is designed to work for our good, to prosper us, and not harm us. Father, grant us the gift of patience through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you safety and peace. 👏💕🙏
