The Great Revival
Good morning
Scripture reading: Acts 2:1-16
Hymn: Revive Us Again
Meditation:
The Welsh Revival in 1904 resulted in over one hundred and fifty thousand people being converted and added to churches and chapels in Wales. There was a supernatural outpouring of the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the people of Wales. During the revival, lives were transformed, homes and families healed and churches were packed and on fire with a zeal and desire for God. Some entire communities were changed when men and women found themselves drawn into a powerful experience of God. The sparks from their spiritual awakening were so powerful that they caused more than twelve countries to become spiritually ignited.
The Apostle Luke
recorded in the book of Acts 2, that on the day of Pentecost many were gathered
in the same place praising and worshipping God when suddenly, there came a
sound from heaven as a mighty rushing wind, and filled the house where they
were sitting. Those who sat in the congregation felt the power of God and were
filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and they spoke with other tongues
as the Spirit gave them utterance. Be prepared and ready for the great revival
that is coming to the house of God.
Let us pray:
Mighty God, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,
I worship you, O God, for you are worthy to be praised. Father, I pray for
another great revival as mighty as the one in Wales to break out across the
nation. Holy Spirit, sit upon us until we are fully ignited. Holy Ghost fire
burns within us and allows the sparks to catch flame and burn through those
near and far. Almighty God, send a revival in our churches. Wake us out of our
sleep and slumber, O God. Wake us, O God, for many of us are spiritually
asleep. Father, fill us with the power of your Holy Spirit as we congregate to
worship you. Whatever it takes to draw us close to you, mighty God, let it be
done through the power of the Holy Spirit. My Lord, ignite the fire of the Holy
Spirit within us and let there be a change, a mighty move of God, in the name
of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. Shalom. ✌💕🙏
