What We All Have in Common
Good morning
Scripture reading: Romans 3:23-26
Worship song: Bring Me Down
Meditation:
It is human tendency to place the rich, the famous, the
hierarchy, and the scholars on pedestals, grouping them in a class above all
others, but as created beings, we all have one thing in common, and that is we
are tainted with sin. The world we live in classifies people according to race,
color, creed, cultural status, etc., but in reality, we are all equal in God's
sight, created in His likeness and image. Regardless of human differences,
whether you are among the upper-, middle-, or lower-class groups, we are all
sinners in need of a Savior. No matter our economic, ethnic, or social
affiliation, we stand accused as disobedient and equally guilty sinners before
our Creator. As part of Adam's race, we are all born spiritually dead in sin
and at enmity with God. We are all condemned to die and have fallen short of
the glory of God. Nevertheless, we are all granted the opportunity to break
free from sin and renounce its stronghold and power over us. Therefore, while
the blood is still running warm in your veins, seek the Lord while grace still
abounds, and seek him while he may be found and is near because only the
surrendered saints will access the Tree of Life and dwell with Jesus Christ
forever.
Let us pray:
Merciful, wonderful, savior, blessed redeemer, and friend, I am grateful, mighty God, that we are all equal beings in thy sight. Everlasting Father, I am grateful that your thoughts and ways are higher than ours and that you don't see things as we do. Almighty One, I give you thanks that you have not classified us in accordance to affiliation, status, and race but see us as sinners in need of grace and a Savior. Father, I pray that as we rise to the dawning of the day, we will humble ourselves before you, come down off the pedestal, our pumps and pride, and surrender our all on the altar of sacrifice. Father, whatever state or position we find ourselves in, I pray that we will recognize that all we attain in this life is insignificant without you. May we realize, Lord Jesus, that whether we are rich or poor, black or white, we all have to give an account to you of how we spend the time you have allotted to us. Lead us, Heavenly Father, through the directives of the Holy Spirit in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Keep safe. 💓🙏
