Repent While Grace Abound
Good morning
Scripture reading: Romans 6
Praise song: I repent
Meditation:
Repentance is a powerful act of acknowledging our wrongdoings and expressing sincere remorse. You might say, Why should I repent? We repent when our lifestyle and our actions are contrary to biblical teachings. We repent when we sin against God and indulge in anything contrary to His will, law, and commandments. If we analyze or categorize sin as big or small, it is still sin, and the ultimate consequence is separation from God.
It matters not if we view little sin as insignificant; the ultimate punishment is the same for all transgressions. Anything we do that is contrary to God's commandments, will, and law is punishable. No sin goes unpunished, so those who refuse to confess and acknowledge their faults will face the consequences. If we repent of our sins and our wrongdoings, God is faithful and just to forgive us of all our iniquities.
To be forgiven, we must repent of all our iniquities.
Repent, therefore, and turn away from sin; look to Jesus now, and live. Repent,
for you know not when the master will put in His appearance nor the minute
death will come knocking at your door. Repent while you still have breath,
while the blood is trickling through your veins. Softly and tenderly, Jesus is
calling us to repent while mercy and grace abound.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, merciful, wonderful Savior, our
Redeemer and friend, into your hands, we commit and surrender our lives.
Father, we confess that we have sinned against thee in our thoughts, our
actions, and our deeds. We confess that we have sinned against you
presumptuously and unknowingly, and so with a penitent heart, we ask, O God,
that you forgive us for trespassing against you. Forgive us, merciful God, for
we have sinned against you, and if we have caused others to stumble, cause them
grief or pain, please forgive us, Lord. Cleanse and purify us, O Heavenly
Father, from all carnal weaknesses, iniquities, immoralities, and impurities in
the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray. Amen.
Keep safe. Shalom. ✌🙏
