Remember Me, Says the Lord
Good morning
Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 8
Worship song: It All Belongs to You
Meditation:
The advancement in technology has made life much easier and is rapidly transforming civilization in ways that bring about unexpected changes. As wisdom and knowledge increase, many tasks that usually take hours to accomplish have been made easier by the click of a button. The traditional way of doing things is vastly fading, leaving us little or no choice but to adapt to the use of all the different diversity of technology. However, though we welcome the change, and it is of great benefit to us, let us not forget the Lord our God, who gave us the power to get wealth and wisdom.
Let us not become too comfortable with our luxurious lifestyle that we begin to conform to the patterns of the world, hence ignoring our creator. Let us not gravitate to and spend our days bragging about our achievements and self-governance that we forget to depend on and praise God for his goodness, grace, mercy, and unmerited love. When we have eaten and are satisfied, let us not forget that it was God who made the provision from which we partake. While we are enjoying our luxurious lifestyle, let us not forget who brought us out of Babylon, from the house of bondage. Let the word of God dwell in us richly, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord.
Let us pray:
Holy and righteous God, the God of creation who brought us out of the land of bondage, I worship you, O Lord, for you are worthy to be praised. Almighty God, we are grateful to you for creating us in your likeness and image, and with your infinite wisdom, you equipped us with the power to gain wealth through wisdom and knowledge. Father, I pray that as we advance in wisdom and utilize the gift you have granted unto us, we will not forget thee, O God, nor forsake your commands. Abba Father, as the traditional way of doing things is rapidly changing, I pray we remain rooted and grounded, solely depending on you, O God, for guidance.
I pray, O God, that while we adapt to the use of all the different diversity of technology, our faith, and trust in you, O God, will not dwindle. Almighty God, empower us with the desire to feast upon your word, wisdom to comprehend each scripture, and the ability to use them appropriately. I beseech thee, O God, to help us meditate on thy precepts, to acknowledge your power, and recognize you for who you are, the all-powerful, all-knowing God. Father, have your way as we surrender our hearts, our minds, and our souls to you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King. Amen.
Have a wonderful day. 💓🙏
Less we forget, Gethsemane, the old rugged cross, lead us to calvary.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it is Satan delight to have everyone forget the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and be distracted by the things of this world which is considered his place since he was cast out of heaven. He goes to and from upon the earth, never settled down. So he wants everyone to go upon down and have no time for God.
He is a trap setter but one day he will be trapped for all eternity. Let us be vigilant.
Have a peaceful day.
❤️🙏❤️.
Lord, as I reflect on your word, guide my heart to do your will and embrace the fact that I was made to worship you.
