On Death Row
Good morning
Scripture reading: Romans 3:1-25
Praise song: O The Blood
Meditation:
A famous quote that I often hear is, "If you do the crime, be prepared to do the time!" I doubt anyone convicted of serious offenses is ever mentally prepared to spend time in solitary confinement. In this world of sin, we all stand accused before God, and we are all guilty of committing offenses against God, our creator, and because of this, our ultimate punishment is the death penalty. Everyone who rejected Jesus Christ and turned their backs on Him is on death row, placed in isolation, and waiting to be executed.
When you turn from your wicked ways, surrender to Jesus Christ, and confess all your sins, you will be pardoned, and all your sins will be forgiven. Walk away from the lifestyle that displeases God, walk away from worldly pleasures, from the glamour and glitter that held you spellbound, and surrender to Jesus Christ. Only a look at Jesus can turn you away from sin. Jesus will lift your heavy burden, forgive all your sins, and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Allow the righteous judge to dismiss your case and grant you
freedom and access to the tree of life. Those who died in Christ, their
departure from this sinful world is a blessed transition to eternal life with
Christ.
Let us pray.
Judge of the secrets of the hearts of men, the God who sits high and looks low, we gather in your courtroom before your throne of grace this morning to petition our cause. Mighty Judge, we stand accused before you, seeking to be forgiven for trespassing against you, O God. Father God, we sinned against you in our thoughts, deeds, and actions, deliberately and unknowingly. Almighty God, have mercy on us according to your loving kindness and according to your compassion; blot out all our transgressions and wash away all our iniquities. Lord, we thank you that, according to your judicial law, we are granted acquittal and pardon for all our iniquities as we confess our sins. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, we thank you for nailing our sins on Calvary's Cross, for your sacrificial offering that granted us victory over sin and eternal punishment in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
Keep safe. Shalom. ✌💞🙏
