Position Yourself for Change
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Luke 19:1-10
Hymn: Dear Refuge of My Weary Soul
Meditation:
The passage Zacchaeus is portrayed as a wealthy chief tax collector among the publicans, who desired to see Jesus Christ. Zacchaeus was physically wealthy but spiritually bankrupt. He must have experienced an inner void, prompting him to seek spiritual refuge. There was a multitude assembled, waiting to see Jesus, but Zacchaeus, short in status, pushed his way through. It is possible he was ridiculed by onlookers as he climbed the tree to see Jesus, but he didn't care, for he knew he was broken on the inside.
After Zacchaeus communed with Jesus Christ, his concept of life changed. Jesus offered him salvation, and in return, Zacchaeus offered to restore fourfold what he had taken through false accusations and offer to assist individuals with financial challenges. Zacchaeus actively pursued Jesus because he desired a profound change in his life, which he subsequently experienced, leading to his salvation and a transformed life.
What about you? Are you frustrated with the way you live your
life? Maybe it is time to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
To receive salvation, one should wholeheartedly pursue the Lord God. This
commitment allows a person to experience God's wonders and supernatural power.
Let's pray:
Almighty God, I bow in reverence before you, for you are the
way, the truth, and the life, the only God who offers salvation, mercy, and
grace. Lord, there is no other name under heaven given to mankind that we can
be saved by, so God, I intercede on behalf of my family, friends, and
neighbors. I am concerned about their souls as much as I am concerned about
mine. Rescue us, O God, from the path leading to ruin and save us from
self-destruction. Lord, I know you desire none to perish but that all will seek
salvation, so touch our wandering hearts, mighty God, renew our mindset, lead
us in your truth, and teach us, for you are the God of our salvation. Father, I
worship and praise you for the changes you are about to bring into our lives
for your glory in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Wishing you a blessed day. 👏💕🙏
