Known by Your Fruit

Good morning

Scripture reading: Galatians 5: 22-26

Worship song: Bear Fruit

Meditation:

Over 2,000 different kinds of fruit exist globally, yet the average Western diet uses only about 10% of them. In a spiritual context, human nature is viewed as capable of producing two distinct sets of outcomes: one often referred to as the fruit of the flesh, representing worldly desires and actions, and the other known as the fruit of the Spirit, representing virtues and spiritual growth The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, as outlined in Galatians 5, represent the essential character traits that should guide a believer. The qualities one displays serve as a reflection of their genuine faith as a follower of Jesus Christ.

As noted in Matthew 7, a tree produces fruit according to its nature; it is an example of how a person's actions reflect their fundamental character. What kind of fruit are you producing? How can we cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our lives? These spiritual fruits are not a reward for our personal accomplishment but a gift we receive through our relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. We cannot bear good fruit when our lifestyle choices are corrupt with the work of the flesh. To bear the fruit of the Spirit, we must abide in Christ, drawing life and strength from Him as a branch draws from the vine. Just as a fruit tree needs constant care to bear fruit, we need a continuous connection with the Holy Spirit to produce spiritual growth. May we submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, so that we reflect the character of Christ in our lives.

Let us pray:

Merciful Savior, glorious in splendor and majesty, with a heart of thanksgiving, I glorify you, O God. Almighty God, while the fruit trees only bear during their season, Lord we seek not to possess seasonal fruits, but to obtain the fruit of the spirit throughout our lifespan. Heavenly Father, we want to grow gracefully, free from the works of the flesh, possessing the fruit of the Spirit as evidence of our connection with you. O Lord, grant us the grace to be fruitful in all virtues, to abhor all that is evil, and to hold fast to all that is good. Father, help us move away from our sinful habits and toward a life that reflects Jesus' character, empowered by the Holy Spirit. We will go forth in the strength of the Lord, focusing solely on living a life that demonstrates holiness and godliness in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a fantastic day. 💕👏🙏

  1. How do we examine our fruits, Galatians 5: if we are not producing and maintaining these fruits, then we have no fruits and to continue producing we must be buried deep by the Holy Spirit. Blessings. 🙏🙏
