What Can Separate Us?
Good morning
Scripture reading: Romans 8:35-39
Worship song: Nothing Can Separate
Meditation:
Statistics estimate that about 60% of conjoined twins who undergo separation surgery survive the operation. The successful separation requires highly coordinated care, and its feasibility depends entirely on how the twins are connected and which organs are shared. While medical science can successfully separate conjoined twins, no medical professionals can sever the spiritual connection between God and us through Christ.
Our spiritual relationship with God remains permanently secure and is entirely untouchable by human intervention. Nevertheless, Isaiah 59:2 affirms that our iniquities create a spiritual barrier that separates us from God, and our sins hinder our communication with Him, thereby obstructing our prayers.
The Psalmist acknowledges that willful and unconfessed sin
automatically blocks one's connection with God. However, if we confess our
sins, God is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Let us pray:
Merciful Father, we thank You for Your unmerited grace and
mercies that are renewed each morning. Great is Your faithfulness, O God. We
acknowledge, Mighty God, that only our iniquities can separate us from You and
subsequently block our prayers. We confess that we have sinned against You
unknowingly and ask that You have mercy on us, according to Your loving
kindness. Please blot out all our transgressions, Lord; purge us with hyssop
and purify our hearts. Do not cast us away from Your presence, O Lord, for we
desire and crave Your divine guidance. Hear us, O God, when we cry unto You and
forsake us not, for we cannot run this race fervently without Your divine
strength. Grant us the strength to walk together in Your grace. We pray in the
precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you an awesome day. 👏💕🙏
Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy
