The Unqualified Anointing

Good morning

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 1: 1-10

Worship song: God All By Yourself

Meditation:

Jeremiah was divinely ordained by God and chosen to fulfill a crucial mandate, yet he initially thought he was unqualified. Jeremiah did not feel ready when God called him to be a prophet. All he would see was his incapability and his youthfulness, but God reassured him that it was He, God who qualifies the call. God promised Jeremiah that he would empower and fill him with words of wisdom to govern the nation. Furthermore, he commanded him to speak as he was instructed by him. We must understand God's calling is not about self-confidence but about our willingness to obedience to God. God promises to be with us every step of the way, and he always keeps his promises.

Beloved, if you feel inadequate in your calling, don't be discouraged, for God is with you and he qualifies the task. Consider Moses who had a speech impairment, yet he was chosen to lead the children out of Israel. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet he became a great minister of the early church. David was considered insignificant by his family yet he was anointed and chosen as a king. These examples show that God equips and empowers those He calls, not based solely on their perceived abilities or qualifications, but for his divine purpose. Go in confidence in God's Word, and carry out His will to completion.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, I am amazed by you and the demonstration of your power in such a marvelous way that it baffles us. Father, I am extremely thankful that your choices are not based on worldly standards or qualifications. Thank you, Lord God, for choosing the unlikely, the broken, and the seemingly unqualified to demonstrate your power and grace. Almighty God, may we be obedient to carry out the task you have given to us with a willing heart, by surrendering totally to you as you take charge and lead us. May we not look upon our inadequacy or delinquency, but look to you, Lord God, to finish what you have started within us. Guide us, Lord God, to make choices that align with your will, precepts, and commands through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a fantastic day. 💕🙏
