Serve The Lord with Diligence

Good morning

Scripture reading: Colossians 3:23-24

Worship song: I Will Serve Thee

Meditation:

Ministers such as Paul and Timothy knew the purpose of their calling, and therefore they labored assiduously to fulfil and accomplish their mission. They remain relentless in the face of persecution and adversity. Paul and Timothy were resilient and unbending, even when faced with opposition, to achieve their objectives. There was no conflict of interest, favoritism, or partiality as they labored diligently to discharge their duties.

To serve diligently and carry out the master's will, we must understand our calling, appreciate it, and remain steadfast and fervent in whatever the Lord has appointed us to do. A call to serve requires us to be committed, dedicated, and fervent in the face of persecution and negative criticism. Matt. 5 reminds us that blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, and blessed you shall be amidst the evil intentions riled against you by others. As stewards, we are to be equipped, ready, and willing to serve and let our work be done with urgency.

Let us pray.

Almighty God, I give you thanks, O God, for the opportunity to connect with you through prayer. Lord, as I bow at your feet this morning, I pray for the unction to function daily and to commit fervently and willingly to the call of duty. Almighty God, many times we are ridiculed and criticized by people in our own circle as we work for kingdom building, but I pray, O God, that despite the mockery, we will remain steadfast and fervent. Father, I pray for faith and strength to endure amidst adversity and persecution. Almighty God, may we focus our attention on you, on the mission that you ordain us to accomplish, and not on the negative criticism uttered by those around us. Heavenly Father, I pray for endurance to withstand the trials and temptations we face. Father, when we stand in the midst of affliction, strengthen us and give us the courage to hold steadfast and never abandon our mission and purpose. Father, whatever ministry you have called us to serve, may we do so willingly and with urgency, knowing that we serve a God who has our best interests at heart. Father, lead us and guide us as we seek to serve you diligently in the name of Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King. Amen.

Wishing you a wonderful day. 💞🙏🙏
