In this profound message to the Israelites, God promised to heal their land and forgive their transgressions a divine covenant that comes with conditions. In return for their freedom, God specified four conditions that must be fulfilled by the Israelites.       The first recommendation was for the Israelites to humble themselves before God and acknowledge their dependence on him. Jehoshaphat worshipped not the gods of his ancestors but sought the Lord God of his father, Asa, and walked according to God's commands.
