The Massive Invasion

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 20:1-17 Worship song: The Battle Is Not Yours   Meditation:      When King Jehoshaphat heard that a large army planned an attack against his kingdom, he earnestly sought the Lord and proclaimed a solemn fast throughout all Judah. King Jehoshaphat turned to the powerful sovereign Lord for divine help knowing his army was defenseless against the invaders. He held steadfast to his belief and faith in God’s fulfilled promises, specifically when God drove out the inhabitants of Canaan so that Abraham's descendants could dwell in the land.       The king's prayer proclaimed God's unmatched authority and sovereignty. He confessed his people's weakness and their absolute dependence on God for rescue. He ended his prayer declaring they know not what to do, but their eyes are on God. After the prayer, the prophet, Jahaziel delivered a divine message from the Lord, instructing them not to fear, for the b...

The Rejected and Overlooked

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Genesis 29:28-31 Worship song: Grace   Meditation:      Leah's marriage to Jacob was not by choice but a result of her father, Laban's deceit. Despite the difficulty she encountered in her marriage, she was favoured in the eyes of the Lord. God acknowledged Leah's heartache over her husband's neglect and blessed her with children, whose names testified to her gratitude for God's divine help. She learned to find joy, peace, and contentment even in a challenging situation by focusing on God's blessings and plan.       You might be qualified for a task but overlooked and rejected. You may have been trying for years to make the team, be recognized, or be accepted, but still, no one notices you. Do not be discouraged or dismayed, God sees and knows your potential. His plans for you are greater than any human perspective. Instead of dwelling on what you cannot change, place your trust in God, who has the power t...

The Conditional Promise

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 7:14 Worship song: If My People   Meditation:      After the dedication of the temple, the Lord appeared to Solomon with a covenant promise. In this profound message to the Israelites, God promised to heal their land and forgive their transgressions a divine covenant that comes with conditions. In return for their freedom, God specified four conditions that must be fulfilled by the Israelites.       The first recommendation was for the Israelites to humble themselves before God and acknowledge their dependence on him. Secondly, they were to communicate with God through fervent prayer. Thirdly, seek and pursue a deeper relationship with God and align their lives to his will. And the fourth recommendation was to recognize and take responsibility for their sins, making a conscious choice to change their behavior and seek God's forgiveness.       This scripture states that when...

Left Behind

Image
Good morning Day for Testimony - Left Behind   Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. St. Matthew 24: 40-41 Worship song: I pray We'll Be Ready   Personal Testimony:     My recent awareness of others sharing rapture experiences has brought to memory a vivid vision from my past. During my teenage years, I witnessed a celestial event in which the clouds burst open, revealing the appearance of the Son of God, surrounded by a bright light, looking down on the earth while people were busy ascending. In that moment, my family was taken upward, and I was left behind, weeping bitterly. Though it was just a dream, the thought of being left behind by God and abandoned by my loved ones was profoundly traumatic, leaving me with a crippling awareness of the possibility of rejection caused by a life not totally surrendered to God.   ...

Spiritual Awakening

Good morning Day of Prayer - For the Church And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. St. Matthew 16:18 Worship song: Upon This Rock   Let us Pray:      Most righteous, eternal, and merciful God, we submit to your authority knowing you are worthy to receive glory, honor, and praise. Father, I intercede on behalf of the churches; the genuine worshippers and the ones leading your children astray. I pray, O God, for a holy visitation upon those who profess to be walking in light but are still walking in the darkness. I pray, Lord God, that the hour will arrive when we all worship you in spirit and truth. Father, we acknowledge that the signs of the times are everywhere. We realize that many false prophets have risen up among us creating confusion by spreading false teachings. Lord, these false teachers have found themselves among the body of Christ appearing a...

The Lord Has Broken Thy Works

Image
Good morning Scripture: 1 Kings 22: 48-53 Worship song: Spirit of the Living God   Meditation:      Jehoshaphat was thirty-five when he became king of Judah and served Jerusalem for twenty-five years, following in the footsteps of his father Asa. Jehoshaphat worshipped not the gods of his ancestors but sought the Lord God of his father, Asa, and walked according to God's commands. Therefore, the Lord was with Jehoshaphat and gave him control over Judah, and all the people brought him gifts so that he became extremely wealthy.       After his father's death, he joined an alliance with Israel's King Ahaziah to make ships in Ezion-Geber. Jehoshaphat’s desire to build ships was so that he could get gold from Ophir, but the fleet of ships was destroyed by the Lord in Ezion-Geber before they set sail to Tarshish because he chose to work with someone who worshiped foreign gods. The king of Israel, Ahaziah, had done wickedness in the sight of Go...

Do Not Quit, Try Again

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Proverbs 24:15-16 Worship song: Survivor   Meditation:      History tells us many examples of inventors, explorers, and leaders who failed multiple times before attaining success. One of the most famous is Thomas Edison, credited with inventing the carbon telephone transmitter, light bulb, and phonograph. It took 1,000 unsuccessful attempts before he created the first light bulb. It is said that many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. In our walk of faith, our identity is found in God's unending love, not our past mistakes. It is the beginning of a new chapter guided by faith.       The righteous man will never quit, for though he falls, he will rise again. His steps are ordered by the Lord, and he protects those who please him. If the righteous fall, they will not stay down, because the Lord will help them. It is not the end when a righ...

Come and Celebrate

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Exodus 15:1-21 Worship song: Celebrate Jesus Celebrate   Meditation:      To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven where joy and celebration are inevitable. Celebration is a spiritual discipline and one that we need to practice daily. There are many reasons to celebrate. While Moses guided the Israelites through the Red Sea to freedom, his sister Miriam, a prophetess, led the women in a joyous celebration with music and dance. With a heart full of gratitude, Hannah celebrated God's faithfulness after He blessed her with a son. With the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls finished, Nehemiah guided the people in offering great sacrifices and rejoicing loudly in God.       Today, we commemorate the resurrection of Christ, our Lord, who, through his atoning sacrifice, provided salvation from the inescapable power of sin. The act of celebration serves as a profound affirmation o...
