God Still Provides
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Kings 17:1-16
Worship Song: Make a way
Meditation:
Today, we reflect on the powerful story of Elijah the Tishbite, who boldly declared the prophecy that there would be no rain or dew upon the land for three and a half years. Following that proclamation, the Lord told him to depart eastward and hide himself by the brook Cherith, and he would sustain him. Elijah obeyed the Lord's command, and God honoured his promise. Elijah found himself in a situation where he had no choice but to depend on God.
We further learned that after the brook dried due to the famine, God instructed Elijah to proceed to Zarephath, where a widow had been commanded to sustain him with food. From this scripture, we learned the significance of obedience and complete dependence on the Lord. Elijah's compliance with God's directives resulted in the fulfillment of his promise made to Elijah. Through Elijah's obedience and unwavering trust, he remained untouched by the surrounding hardships.
If we are willing to obey the Lord, follow His guidance,
and trust Him for daily provision, while patiently awaiting His promises, we
will experience a transformative, life-changing experience. God can do what
none other can do.
Let us pray:
Jehovah God, I exalt You, O Lord, for you are worthy to be
praised. Almighty God, our provider, we depend solely on you, to meet our needs
according to your riches in glory. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
I beseech you, O God, to assist us in the areas where our reservoirs have
become dry. Lord, I lift these dry brooks of financial debt, physical,
emotional, and spiritual drought, trusting you to turn these barren areas into
places of divine manifestation and overflow. Father, your word affirms that
whatever is bound on earth shall be bound in heaven, so according to your word,
we declare the spirit of disobedience bound in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We ask you, Father, to crush every rebellious spirit and instill within us a
sincere desire to obey your commands and align our ways with your will. We
declare this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our provider. Amen.
Have a blessed and peaceful day. ✌💞🙏
