Serve The Lord With Diligence

Good morning

Scripture reading: Colossians 3:23-24

Worship song: I Will Serve Thee

Meditation:

Ministers such as Paul and Timothy understood the purpose of their calling, and therefore they labored assiduously to fulfil and accomplish their mission. They remained steadfast in the face of persecution and adversity. Paul and Timothy were resilient and unwavering, even amid opposition, in pursuing their objectives. There was no conflict of interest, favoritism, or partiality as they diligently discharged their responsibilities.

To serve diligently and fulfill God's will, we must seek to understand our calling, value it, and remain steadfast and passionate in our appointed assignments. A calling to serve requires commitment, dedication, and fervency even when faced with persecution and negative criticism. Matthew 5 reminds us that blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. As stewards, we are to be prepared, willing, and proactive in service, executing our duties with urgency.

Let us pray.

Sovereign Lord, as I humble myself before You this morning, I seek Your anointing to serve diligently and willingly in my daily responsibilities. I pray, O God, that we may remain steadfast, fervent, and faithful amidst criticism, persecution, and uncertainty. Focus our attention on you, and on the mission you have ordained us to accomplish. Help us, Lord, not be distracted by the negativity displayed by others. Grant us endurance to withstand trials and temptations. When we face opposition, strengthen us and instill courage within us to remain steadfast and committed to our divine purpose. Whatever ministry you have called us to serve, may we do so willingly and with urgency, trusting your promise, O God, to prosper us. Lord, we ask for Your guidance as we dedicate ourselves to serving You wholeheartedly through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a wonderful day.  💕🙏🙌

  1. I believe in the secular world, many people rendered eye service, meaning they work when the boss is looking, however when he or she is not, there is pure idleness. Not so with God, He sees us all the time, in light or darkness, any service that is not genuine He knows. Let us serve faithfully and truly. 🙏🙏
