Thou Art Loosed
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Luke 13:11-17
Worship song: My Shackles Are Broken
Meditation:
For eighteen long years, she was weighed down and bound by an unseen adversary, unable to lift her head or help herself. Yet, in her deepest struggle, the rulers of the synagogue offered no comfort, only rigid rules. But where religious leaders saw an inconvenience, Jesus saw a daughter of God. With a heart of pure compassion, He shattered her chains and set her free from her infirmities. Her liberation angered the synagogue leaders who expressed deep resentment, demonstrating that they valued their religious traditions over a human being's miraculous healing. I
n this self-centered
society, so frequently, individuals' desire for personal comfort keeps them
from noticing the struggles of the hurting people before their very eyes. If
you are hurting, take courage knowing that Jesus specializes in the
brokenhearted. When a challenge feels overwhelming, surrender it to Him and
find rest in His perfect empathy. Let His deep compassion and endless grace be
your refuge and your source of strength.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, I come to You surrendering the burdens and
bondages that weigh us down. Just as Jesus saw the woman who was bent over and
crippled for eighteen long years, I ask that You see the struggles of my
family, loved ones, friends, and those struggling to find relief and solace
today. Where we are weighed down by worry, sickness, or spiritual oppression, I
ask for Your healing touch. Speak that same word of deliverance over our lives,
Lord. Unshackled us from the chains that Satan has used to confound us, so that
we may stand upright and walk in Your divine freedom. Help us to prioritize
love and healing over empty traditions and rules. Remove our stony
self-centered hearts and judgmental spirit, replacing in our hearts compassion,
empathy, love, and mercy. Fill our hearts with deep praise and thanksgiving for
Your unwavering faithfulness, compassion, and the tender mercies You bestowed
upon us. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Wishing you strength and peace. 💪✌🙏
