Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 10:9-16 Worship song: Lead Me, Lord   Meditation:      Instead of succumbing to my fears of heights and avoiding the amusement rides, I boldly chose to navigate the maze. This challenge is designed to test how individuals can identify the correct path to the exit. As I ventured through the dimly lit pathway, I encountered a few dead ends. At one point, I thought I had found my way, only to realize I had taken the wrong turn, leading me back to the bottom of the maze. After navigating many wrong paths, I discovered the exit.       Life is simply a maze of opportunities, and it is all about making the right choices. Herod's motive was to eliminate the potential rival to his power, believing that the child prophesied to be the king of the Jews was a threat to his reign. Pharaoh's motive was similar to that of Herod. Pharaoh saw the Israelites as a potential threat, thinking that they would join forces with his allies against him. Many of us made a commitment to Jesus Christ, yet we often let the distractions of life overshadow our devotion. In the days of Noah, people were eating, partying, gallivanting, enjoying life, getting married, and living ungodly lives. They have no time to worship God. Likewise, also, as it was in the days of Lot, they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, and they had no time to devote to God. What can we possibly achieve without Christ? If I were to lose my connection with Him, I would be left with nothing.       Gaining the whole world means nothing if it leads to the loss of my soul. As children of God, we are equipped to trample on serpents and scorpions and every force of darkness. Nothing can harm us when we operate this divine power. The True riches, comfort, happiness, and peace we seek cannot be found in material possessions; they are solely found in Jesus Christ.
