We Have Power and Authority

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Luke 10:18-20

Worship song: Step on The Enemy

Meditation:

Jesus has bestowed upon his disciples the authority to tread upon serpents, scorpions, and all enemies. The same empowering authority is given to every believer. We possess the right and liberty to exercise this authority boldly over every serpent and adversary. As children of God, we are equipped to trample on serpents and scorpions and every force of darkness. Nothing can harm us when we operate this divine power. Revelation 12 reminds us that the serpent, Satan, along with his cohorts of darkness, is actively working to deceive the world.

However, we will not be dismayed or discouraged, for while the serpent may bruise our heels, we are empowered through Jesus Christ to crush his head. Jesus Christ, the ultimate seed of the woman, triumphed over Satan through his death and resurrection. When the enemy strikes, remember we have been given the authority and power to impede his plans.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places and the rulers of darkness in this world. All these are united together to destroy our faith and defeat our God-given purpose. Do not be petrified, for He who is with us is greater than those against us.

Let us pray:

Adonai, my God in whom I put my trust, I exalt you, Lord, for your matchless power and greatness. Almighty God, we are grateful to you, O God, for the privilege granted to us to trample on and crush serpents and scorpions and to triumph over our enemies. Father, now that we know the power that we have, we come boldly to the throne of grace as we seek to exercise our divine power through the authority granted to us by Almighty God. With the authority granted to us, we declare every serpent spirit crushed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Almighty God, we trample and crush the serpents that rise against us. Father, by the power and authority granted to us, we crush the serpent of lies, fears, and deception, and we march on as victors over our adversaries. We declare victory over every evil scheme and plan of the adversary in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.

Blessings. 🙏🙏
