Somebody Prayed

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Matthew 6:9-13

Worship song: Somebody Pray for Me

Meditation:

Prayer is an essential tool in the lives of every believer, which is a form of direct communication with our Heavenly Father. Through prayer, we seek divine help for seen and unforeseen troubles by appealing to God for guidance, protection, and strength. When we pray, we acknowledge our dependence on God and trust Him to change the situation we commit to Him. We are assured in Psalms 102:17 that God will regard the prayer of the destitute and not despise their prayer.

The prayers of those living righteously are heard and powerful and effective enough to bring about significant results. The word of God promises us in Matthew 21 that whatsoever we ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive. According to the scriptures, Hannah and Elizabeth prayed fervently to God about their barrenness. After many years of ceaseless prayer, God remembered them, and they conceived. Some of us are still here today because of the ceaseless prayer of the righteous and the faithfulness of God.

All the times we were running wild, when we were lost, and when we were broken, somebody was praying. You might not know how you made it through your struggles; it certainly was not due to your own strength, but because someone was praying for you.

Let us pray:

Merciful Savior, let my prayer be counted as I lift my hands before you in complete surrender. I am thankful for the righteous who fervently seek your divine intervention through prayer for the broken, lost, and wandering child. We are grateful to those who bow at the altar to mention us in their prayer. Father, continue to bless the person who never ceased to intercede for our well-being and transformation. We express gratitude that mercy has found us and we are living proof of grace. Lord, we thank you for the privilege granted us to seek and connect with you through prayer. We thank you, Lord God, for your promise to answer the prayers of the destitute. We are grateful to you, Lord God, for every prayer you have answered and for your gentle guidance and unending protection. We praise you for the comfort of your unconditional love, tender mercies, and the overflowing grace we receive through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a day filled with blessings. 👏💞🙏

  1. Prayer is not something we do when we feel like, it is something we do all the time, not because what we pray for does not happen immediately, we should continue under all circumstances. The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. Keep praying. 🙏🙏
