Love Gone Wrong

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. John 3:14-21

Worship song: Reckless Love

Meditation:

A person's life can be impacted by negative environmental influences resulting in choices that divert from God's divine principles. But no amount of self-justification can validate our sinful habits in God's eyes.  There is an issue when we live outside of God's will, because any desire that seeks to satisfy only fleshly, selfish choices provokes God. God does not have an issue with us making choices, nor does he forbid us from loving persons of the same gender, for He has commanded us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, which is the second greatest command. What God has an issue with is when we entangle ourselves with persons of the same gender and indulge in promiscuous relationships. God has an issue when we choose to compromise his command and oppose his will by displaying love in a manner that irritates him.

Any type of love that dishonors God and his command, is a love gone wrong that can only be resolved by divine intervention and a willingness to change our mental concept. A love that is self-seeking and diverts our attention from the biblical teachings and moral principles is not genuine. Genuine love is of God, comes only from God, and is not motivated by personal gain. God is love, and to love is to abide in Him. Because God is the essence of love, those who live in love are truly connected to God. A husband is called to love his wife sacrificially, mirroring how Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for it. God's command is clear and concise, a man and a woman should be joined together in unity and not contrariwise.

Let us pray:

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, most holy and righteous God, in this time of great confusion and chaos, people are attempting to justify their unholy passion through worldly choices. We look to you, Lord God, for divine order. Almighty God, I pray for your divine intervention to intercept the adversary's deceptive scheme to divert minds from your truth. Lift the veil of spiritual blindness from Your people, O God, so that they may see clearly the deceptive plans of the enemy. Break the chains of deception that cause people to find pleasure in ungodly and unholy living. Merciful Savior, I pray that the hidden secrets, the lies, and the deceitfulness of the enemy be revealed to those who are entangled in the web of deception. Father, I pray for a renewal of the mind for those trapped in selfish desires, that they may no longer conform to the world's patterns, but to yours through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
