Peace be still
Good morning
Scripture reading: Mark 4:35-41
Worship song: Be Still and Know
Meditation:
The disciples walked alongside Jesus as he taught, healed, and performed miracles. They witnessed his supernatural power, yet amid a raging tempest, fear gripped them as the storm intensified. In that moment of terror, their hope of survival seems impossible due to the sudden threat of danger. Their frantic cries woke the master, and he immediately commanded the wind and waves to cease, restoring total calm. The storm took the disciples by surprise, leaving them totally unprepared.
Throughout history, life has been
filled with diverse storms that have caused many of us to live in despair and
anxiety. While we cannot avoid the storms of life, we can conquer our
circumstances when we invite Jesus into our lives. We must willingly welcome
Jesus into our hearts and he will silence the raging seas and command the
boisterous winds to be still. There is no problem too difficult for Jesus
Christ to solve, for he has been carrying the weight of the world. Invite Jesus
into your storm and at his command let 'Peace be Still.'
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, our defender, our shield and butler, I give
thanks, Almighty God, for keeping us safe and secure. I am grateful for the
countless storms, O God, you have calmed in my life. Father, you have proven
and demonstrated that no problem is beyond resolution. Almighty God, as we
encounter our trials, we diligently seek your divine presence to bring peace to
the raging storms and calm the boisterous winds. Lord, your word assures us
that when we pass through the waters, you are with us, the river will not
swallow us, and we will walk through fire without harm. Mighty God, I trust
that you will be with us through every storm, ensuring our safety. Master
Jesus, as we surrender our challenges to you, I boldly ask your divine
intervention to calm and nullify every obstacle the adversary has set to defeat
and frustrate us. Father, let your divine purpose be fulfilled in our lives in
the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Shalom. ✌💕🙏
