Yield Not To Temptation
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 4:14-19
Worship Song: Lord, I need you
Meditation:
A pothole is a depression in an asphalt pavement that varies in size and shape. If these cracks in the concrete are ignored, they may develop into bigger gaps, endangering the lives of pedestrians and motorists. Sin is like potholes: what seems like a little sin will eventually turn into habitual sin, until it reaches the point where we can no longer control what we do or say. If we do not avoid sin, we will soon find ourselves on the bumpy, rugged road, facing potential dangers. The temptation that leads to sin is often undetected because it is appealing and enticing.
The little sins we
commit damage our minds and will eventually have serious implications for our
spiritual well-being. We can only avoid sin and the desire to sin if we choose
to follow the path that leads to righteousness. All the help we need to
overcome trials and live victoriously over sin is possible through Jesus
Christ, the Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ knows we
will be faced with many temptations, and it would be difficult for us to avoid
the potential to sin without His help. He gave Himself as a ransom to help us
navigate and bypass these difficult obstacles. True resistance to sin comes
from being securely established in our faith in Christ.
Let us pray:
Sovereign God, I acknowledge that there are many obstacles
we must face to grow spiritually. Mighty God, help us not to yield to
temptations because they are detrimental to our spiritual growth. Teach
us, Mighty God, to avoid and discern potential danger zones. Almighty God, I
pray for comprehensive blood coverage of our mind, heart, and soul. Help us
remain vigilant, strong, and resilient amidst trials and temptations. Lead us
not into temptation, O God, but deliver us from evil desires and decrptions,
for yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Almighty Reliable Father,
may we consistently listen to and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to overcome
trials, temptations, and worldly pleasures. Father, we give you thanks through
Jesus Christ, our Lord and King. Amen.
Have a blessed day. Keep safe. 💕🙏🙏
We are Victor's not victims. Regardless of what we suffer we are Victor's and we will have some scars to prove we were in a fight, battered, bruised and bloody. This fight will not end. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you loose some, but we are not a looser. Keep fighting. Stay safe and strong. You are not alone and will never be. 🙏🙏💪💪
