The Report of The Lord
Good morning
Scripture reading: Numbers 13
Worship song: Whose Report Will You Believe
Meditation:
According to the LSD Law, the principle of 'majority rules' is a powerful decision-making principle in various contexts, particularly in election proceedings, which determines the outcome. However, this method was not a principle used in the story of the twelve spies. Obeying God's command, in preparation for the conquest, and to make informed strategic decisions, Moses sent agents to assess the strength of the inhabitants and the fertility of the land of Canaan.
Moses disregarded the convincing popular report of the
majority and accepted the report of the faithful minority, choosing to trust
God's promises over human fear. God assured the Israelites that the land of
Canaan was legally theirs to take and occupy. It was the minority's report that
shaped the Israelites' destiny. If you have received a report that is not
favorable and it causes you to fear the inevitable, remember God is in control
and he has the final say. Trust God's sovereignty, for he controls your
destiny. What promises has God made to you? Will you trust the word of God or
the report of the world?
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your powerful reminder
that no matter what report we have received, it is your report that matters the
most. Lord, I believe that your faithfulness is unwavering and your promises
are true. I will meditate on your word, O God, and will not be dismayed, for
you are my God, my strength, and my help. I fully embrace your prophetic
declaration to prosper us, shield us from harm and danger, and grant us hope
and a future. Almighty God, when we walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, we will fear no evil, for you are with us. Our hope is built on the
promise that declares you will never abandon us. I hold firmly to Your promise,
O God, to be with us wherever we go. I stand strong on the belief that when the
righteous cry out, you will hear us and deliver us from every trouble. Almighty
God, you have the final say, and so with confidence I declare that we will
choose to believe in the truth of your promises in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕🙏
