Jesus Is Calling You

Scripture reading: Matthew 9:9-13

Meditation:

    Matthew, a collector of internal revenue, was diligently collecting taxes as is customary; however, when Jesus called, he immediately left everything behind and followed him. The Pharisees perceived tax collectors as adversaries to be avoided. Jesus regarded them as souls in need of spiritual healing. While the Pharisees imposed strict rules on tax collectors, Jesus extended genuine forgiveness and offered a fresh beginning. Jesus came to minister healing to the afflicted, sight to the blind, and redemption to all sinners. 

    Ezekiel 33:11 reminds us that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but desires them to turn from their evil ways and choose life. If Jesus is calling you, please do not hesitate; do not harden your hearts. Instead, let go of your worldly pursuit and self-righteousness, and you will find pardon and access to the tree of life. Come to Jesus Christ without delay. Come as you are, broken, contrite, and longing for grace.

Let us pray:

    Precious Lord, I humbly worship and praise Your holy name. You alone deserve all honor, praise, and adoration. There is none like You, O God; no one compares to You. Father, as You call us by name and invite us to serve, as You reach out to the ordinary to do extraordinary tasks for Your kingdom, help us respond with open hearts. I pray we will answer Your call promptly and come to You without hesitation. Please forgive us, Almighty God, if we become too occupied with our earthly concerns or distracted by worldly affairs that we neglect our divine purpose. Father, root out and destroy every negative force and distracting spirit that occupies our thoughts, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen us against stubborn willpower and grant us hearts eager to obey Your divine will and commands. In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

    Every individual at some point in their lives receive the convicting call of the Holy Spirit. Some turn Him away and others invited Him in, those who invited Him in, what a difference He made in their lives, for others it is so sad that they turn the one they needed most away. Let us continue to listen to His voice as we follow His leading. 🙏🙏💪

A Deep And Holy Fear

Good morning Scripture reading: Jonah 1:7-17 Worship song: Whom Shall I Fear   Meditation:      After the mariners' prayer to their respective gods failed, they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. They gently confronted him and discovered he was running from the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land. The sailors were overwhelmed with fear, yet upon the request of Jonah, they reluctantly threw him overboard into the raging sea. Immediately, the boisterous tempest ceased. Witnessing God's sovereignty over nature, the sailors moved from frantic panic to profound reverence, fearing the Lord exceedingly, offering sacrifices, and making vows to Him.       The sailors' reverence for God is a profound reminder that regardless of whom one serves or what one believes, every individual must ultimately render reverence to the sovereignty of God (Philippians 2:10-11). A Broken Contract

Good morning Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 24: 14-15  Worship song: Victory Belongs to Jesus   Meditation:      The seven-year bilateral contract agreement between Laban and Jacob was broken after Laban failed to fulfill his end of the bargain, but despite being disappointed by the outcome of their verbal agreement, Jacob dedicated his time and service to Laban as he worked relentlessly for fourteen more years. Realizing that Laban was a deceiver and unjust master, Jacob took his family and fled, dissatisfied that Laban had deceived him and had despitefully changed his wages ten times.
