Go He Therefore
Good morning
Scripture reading: Matthew 28:18-20
Worship song: Go
Meditation:
Jesus before choosing his apostles spent the entire night praying to God on the mountain. Jesus seeks divine guidance before making crucial life decisions, emphasizing a reliance on prayer and faith in God. At daybreak, He called his followers together and from them chose twelve whom he named Apostles. He ordained them specifically to send them out with authority over unclean spirits, sickness, and to minister to lost souls.
Following his resurrection, these apostles except for Judas the Iscariot, received the great commission from Jesus to travel the world, charging them to preach the gospel to all nations, and impart his teachings to all people. However, he commanded them to remain in Jerusalem until they were empowered by the Holy Spirit before embarking on their divine mission.
Following the baptism of the Holy Spirit on
the day of Pentecost, the disciples witnessed the conversion of 3000 people,
marking the official launch of the church through the preaching of Jesus'
resurrection. The church experienced daily growth as new believers were added,
reflecting the biblical promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail
against the church.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge your sovereignty and
dominion over all the earth. We are encouraged by your word and teachings that
the Church is a divine creation which cannot be conquered by human power or
demonic forces. We express gratitude for the unwavering obedience and
commitment of your disciples who remained faithful despite facing significant
obstacles and challenges. We thank you, Lord God, for igniting the hearts of
your disciples on the day of Pentecost to spread the message of salvation to all
nations throughout the world. We worship
you, Lord God for the gift of redemption and for the Holy Spirit’s
enabling power to spread the Gospel. Almighty God, we stand firm on Your
declaration of ultimate victory against the adversary and his cohorts of
darkness in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you abundant blessings. 👏💕🙏
