Promise Revealed in a Dream
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Kings 3:5-15
Worship song: Grant Me Wisdom
Meditation:
God appeared to King Solomon in a dream at Gibeon and offered him whatever he desired. Reflecting on his new role as a young king and acknowledging the vast responsibility of leading a vast nation, Solomon requested wisdom to govern the people justly and to discern right from wrong. The Lord was delighted with his unselfish request and blessed Solomon with exceedingly more than he asked for. God bestowed upon Solomon wisdom, wealth, and honor that surpass all other rulers before and after him.
Furthermore, God promised to extend Solomon's lifespan on the condition that he walk in His ways and keep His commandments as his father, David. By asking for wisdom, Solomon unexpectedly became the wealthiest king in the land. Those who seek wealth without obtaining the wisdom to manage it often face rapid loss, and personal ruin. According to Proverbs 3:13-14, blessed is the person who finds wisdom and gains understanding, because it is more profitable than silver and better than the finest gold. If anyone lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7).
Let us pray:
Yeshua, we thank you for the wisdom that descends from
above which is pure, merciful, and filled with good fruits, impartial and
sincere. We are grateful, Lord God, for reminding us to ask for what we desire
and you will grant them accordingly. Loving and merciful Father God, we
surrender our limited understanding to obtain Your divine wisdom and knowledge.
Endow us, Lord, with the spirit of discernment and wisdom to distinguish right
from wrong, judge justly, walk without stumbling, and make justified decisions.
We look to you, Lord, to supply us with the wisdom necessary to function
adequately in our areas of responsibility. We rely on you daily, Lord, rather
than our own limited understanding for guidance. Grant us divine wisdom, Lord,
to govern our speech, resolve conflicts peacefully, and avoid disputes and
confrontations that could lead to harm. Bestow upon us wisdom, O God, to manage
our resources appropriately and follow your divine guidance in the name of
Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 💗🙏🙌
Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get Wisdom and in all thine getting, get understanding. Knowledge, wisdom and understanding are in a pad, you can't have one without the other. All that one knows and understand must be applied wisely. 🙏🙏
