Hidden in the Sand

Good morning

Scripture reading: Exodus 2:11-15

Worship song: Jesus Forgive Me

Meditation:

It is human instinct to protect loved ones and defend them from harm in every way possible. On most occasions, people are driven by a spontaneous inclination to act, especially intervening to defend someone from injustice. This was the case with Moses, whose impulsive action led him to act on instinct without considering the consequences of his decision. Moses's attempt to conceal his action reflects the human tendency to conceal wrongdoing and sin. However, we cannot hide from God, because there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor hidden that shall not be known (Luke 12:2).

David affirms God's omnipresent and omniscient power in Psalm 139. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch over good and evil (Proverbs 15:3). He that hides his sins shall not prosper, but whoever chooses to confess and forsake sin will obtain mercy (Proverbs 28:13). No action or deeds done in secret will remain, so be sure your sin will find you out.

Every day brings a fresh chance to seek God's grace and experience the peace of His forgiveness. Experience the liberating power of salvation today by joining the community of believers who have triumphed over sin.

Let us pray:

Everlasting Father, merciful God, cleanse my heart from secret faults, hidden iniquities, presumptuous sin, and inclination to act based on impulsive instinct. Almighty God, keep me from transgression and guard my heart against presumptuous sin. Lord God, let not sin, known or unknown, have dominion over me. Father, eradicate any hidden sin that may linger in my heart and mind; let it not germinate within me. Search, O God, my innermost thoughts and purify my heart of any thought that hinders spiritual growth and desire to live holy and righteous. Whatever I do, Lord, I pray my actions are in sync with your commands, lest I be weighed in the balance and found wanting. Lord, help me to make the right choices pleasing in thy sight through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. 👏💕🙏
