Urging Radical Conversion

Good morning

Scripture reading: 2 Timothy 4:1-4

Worship song: Show Us Christ

Meditation:

Saint Bernardino of Siena widely celebrated as the "Apostle of Italy" drew massive outdoor crowds with his passionate sermons, urging radical conversion and famously popularizing devotion to the Holy name of Jesus, compelling people to turn away from worldly corruption and fully dedicate their lives to the saving power of God.

Bernardino’s preaching was grounded in a deep, burning love for God, which he believed was accessible to everyone through the name of Jesus. He taught believers to adore the Redeemer and rely entirely on the power of God's grace during tribulations. He emphasizes that God watches over the soul, and human free will should guide individuals to live lives pleasing to their Creator.

The preaching of the undiluted, uncompromised Word of God calls for boldness, sincerity, and absolute allegiance to divine truth. Apostle Paul emphasized in Galatians 1, that serving God requires choosing His ultimate approval over the praise of others. Serving Christ wholeheartedly demands unwavering obedience and unyielding commitment to God's divine truth regardless of what others think.

Let us pray:

Sovereign God, worthy are You, O Lord, and worthy to be praised. Lord, this morning, we pray for a radical change in our attitude towards worship, and a receptive heart for your Holy Word. We offer our heartfelt thanks to You, Almighty God, for guarding the souls of the faithful. We pray that, through Your divine guidance, our free will choices may always lead us to You. Father, we pray that Your undiluted word will pierce our hearts, renew our minds, and reshape our lives and actions to mirror the example of Jesus.  We decree to abide by your words and live by your commands. We pray this confidently in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a joyful day. 💕🙌🙏
