But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. (Psalm 3:3)

Let us pray:

    Almighty God, You are our rock and shelter in every storm. You, O God, are our hiding place, and the Keeper of our souls. We thank You, Lord, for Your unwavering faithfulness in times of tribulation. You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust. 

    Arise, O LORD; save us, O my God: from our enemies. Stand on our behalf; break the forces trying to steal our time, peace, and destiny. Father, defeat every weapon formed against our progress, and silence every accusation in the spirit realm. Plead our cause, O Lord; fight against those who fight against us. Lord, step into our situation as our advocate. We dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and we rest safely under Your wings. Remind us, Lord, that opposition is no defeat with You by our side. Fight battles we cannot see. Lord, we fear not those who oppose us, for You are our Protector and You are the One who sustains us. 

    We will not be dismayed, for You are our God, our strength, and righteousness. Guide our steps, protect our going and coming, and fill our hearts with Your perfect peace that casts out all fears. Remove every worry and anxiety, and fill our hearts with Your deep, unshakable peace. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, time, and lost opportunities. 

    Thank You, Almighty God, for preserving our souls, protecting our families, and loved ones, and for keeping us safe. We thank You, Lord, for delivering us from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence. We place our lives in Your hands today. In the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 9:9-13 Worship song: Softly and Tenderly   Meditation:      Matthew, a collector of internal revenue, was diligently collecting taxes as is customary; however, when Jesus called, he immediately left everything behind and followed him. The Pharisees perceived tax collectors as adversaries to be avoided. Jesus regarded them as souls in need of spiritual healing. While the Pharisees imposed strict rules on tax collectors, Jesus extended genuine forgiveness and offered a fresh beginning. Good morning   Scripture reading: Matthew 18:19-20 Worship song: Go   Meditation:      The mandate for mission is an authoritative command, a divine commission that is non-negotiable for believers to spread the gospel and make disciples. Those who are sent by God are commissioned to go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things as commanded by God. Good morning Scripture: 1 Kings 18:41-46 Worship song: Baba (Let it Rain)   Meditation:      Elijah was a man subject to the same passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not on the earth for the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain. Elijah had prayed the drought into existence. Now, it was time for the drought to end. He began to petition the God of the universe for rain. Not a little rain, but enough rain to quench the thirst of the land. After Elijah's seventh request, rain came in abundance.
