The biblical accounts of Abraham, Sarah, Hannah, and Joseph illustrate how God's promises unfold over time, through testing, and in ways that are often unexpected. While the divine promise took many years to materialize for these individuals, their stories demonstrate God's enduring faithfulness. Patience is a virtue that is built over time as a result of waiting for a promise to be fulfilled. Maybe you are entertained by a song that is robbing you of your joy, and peace of mind. Perhaps it is robbing you of hope, happiness, and contentment, causing you to be angry, grumpy, miserable, depressed, bitter, and cold-hearted. This is the type of music we dance to outside of Christ. The life we live outside of Jesus Christ is the old records, playing to the tunes of hatred, grief, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, envy, strife, wrath, and idolatry. If that is the case with you, now is a good time to consider changing that soundtrack. The gates represent the narrow road that leads to everlasting life and the broad road that leads to destruction. The broad road is for those who choose not to surrender to God and whose lifestyle choices do not align with God's will. It is for those who desire the glamour and glitter the world offers. The broad road is for the ungodly. On the other hand, the narrow road leads to a truly satisfying life, one filled with joy, peace, and love that grows sweeter with each passing year. This road is for those who choose to follow Christ. It is for those who swear allegiance to the Lamb.       We are given choices, and our designation will determine which path we take. Good morning Scripture: Matthew 10:1-20 Hymn: Just as I am  Meditation:      Jesus Christ selected ordinary persons to serve as his disciples and then he equipped them with power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal all manner of sickness and diseases. Among those whom Jesus chose to be his disciples were tax collectors and fishermen. As Jesus sent forth his disciples to serve, he gave them clear instructions to take the gospel to those who would listen and to the lost sheep. The disciples were told that they would encounter some stubborn, self-willed persons, who would reject the gospel.       The disciples were sent among the vilest of sinners and were advised to use wisdom, be harmless, and focus on their mission. They were also warned about the persecution they would eventually encounter. If you are called to serve, do so with a willing heart, knowing that you are serving a mighty, promise-keeping God. When they heard the prophetic word, they bowed their heads in reverence as they worshiped and praised God. Their praise was so powerful that a burst of jubilee erupted in the atmosphere as the selected singers echoed joyful sounds of victory and praise. In this profound message to the Israelites, God promised to heal their land and forgive their transgressions a divine covenant that comes with conditions. In return for their freedom, God specified four conditions that must be fulfilled by the Israelites.       The first recommendation was for the Israelites to humble themselves before God and acknowledge their dependence on him. Secondly, they were to communicate with God through fervent prayer. Thirdly, seek and pursue a deeper relationship with God and align their lives to his will.
