Humble Beginning

Good morning

Scripture Reading: Matthew 18:1-5

Worship Song: Cry For Humility

Meditation:

Today, we reflect on a pivotal moment when the disciples questioned who was greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Seeking clarity, they approached Jesus. In response, Jesus emphasized that unless one is converted and becomes humble like a little child, he will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus used two essential phrases to explain to the disciples the distinction required to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus made it clear that one must be converted and be humble as a little child. Conversion involves a change in thinking and desire, moving away from worldly pursuits and aligning with God's will. And to be humble is to display meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit, not arrogance or pride. When we are truly humble, we do not boast about our possessions but rather boast about our relationship with the Lord God. When we are converted, we are no longer conformed to the things of the world but transformed and renewed, desiring only that which is pleasing and acceptable to God. Let us come before the Lord God with humility as little children, recognizing that those who exalted themselves will be abased, and he that shall humble himself will be exalted.

Let's Pray

Omnipotent, omnipresent, all-knowing God, I come before you, Lord God, petitioning your throne room and beseeching you, Lord Jesus, to fix me like only you know how. Heavenly Father, if I am too high, bring me down; if I have exalted myself before you, Lord, correct me. Almighty God, if pride and arrogance are hindering me from humbling myself before you, I beseech you to break those hindering spirits and renew my spirit. Father, if at any time worldly achievements should hinder me from humbling myself before you, I beseech you, Lord, to bring me to a place where I will be abased and you be exalted. Father, give me enough grace that I may continue to humble myself under your mighty hand. Lord, grant me a spirit that is humble, submissive, and utterly dependent on you, desiring to live by our commands and precepts. Lord, hear my humble cry in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

 Keep safe. Shalom. 💕👏🙏
