Build Your Hope On Things Eternal
Good morning
Scripture reading: Colossians 3:1-2
Hymn: Hold to God's Unchanging Hands
Meditation:
Hold to God's Unchanging Hand," penned by Jennie Wilson in 1906, reflects the message of Colossians 3:1-2 urging believers to anchor their hope in things eternal, rather than investing in temporary, fading earthly treasures. Build your hope on the unchanging promises of God, trusting in His unwavering faithfulness for earthly things we see are only temporary; but the heavenly, unseen things are everlasting. Build your confidence in the God of hope who will fill you with joy and peace that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Place your confidence in God for He
delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Even
amidst turmoil, chaos, and confusion, the believer's hope is secure in God's
promises, providing the strength to endure trials with confidence rather than
fear. Whatever earthly challenges you are encountering, remember the God of all
hope will strengthen you and keep you safe from all harm.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we anchor our trust in you, actively waiting
on you to restore our strength and weary spirit. We rest on your promises, O
God, to prosper us and protect us from all evil. Merciful Father, let your
mercy, O God, be upon us, according as we hope in you, understanding that our
current challenges are temporal, but the glory they are producing will last
forever. God of hope, fill our hearts daily with joy and peace as we trust in
You. Grant us steadfast endurance, strengthen our weak faith, and allow hope to
abound in our hearts by the power of the Spirit through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you abundant blessings. 👏💕🙏
I love this song from my youth. One of the mother of the church use to sing this song and I can still hear the echoes deep in my inner recesses. It gives me life every time I hear it. You have done me well by sharing it. It makes my day. Keep blessing. ❤️🙏🙏
ReplyDeleteGod is faithful. Let us give Him the highest praise. Hallelujah. Good morning. Our power text is Psalm 46:10 . Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Pray with me. Lord sometimes You are silent because we are not ready for the message You want to talk to us about, because we are not ready. Sometimes we have to go through refining trials to make us ready to listen. Lord sometimes you are silent because we are not willing to obey. Please open our heart and ears to hear from you when you are speaking to us. This we ask in your name. Amen. Stay Blessed. 🙌
