Evaluation of Circumstances

Good morning

Scripture reading: Nehemiah 6:1-9

Worship song: Fifth Stone Discernment

Meditation:

In our society, we are surrounded by individuals who may present themselves as genuine but possess concealed and potentially harmful motives. Sadly, many have been manipulated into leaving the safety of their homes, ultimately falling victim to tragedies orchestrated by acquaintances and trusted friends. It is naturally challenging to discern whether a seemingly sincere person's intentions are truly authentic or disguising malice, as their outward demeanor can easily conceal their true motives.

Nehemiah’s profound spiritual discernment enabled him to quickly identify the ulterior motives of his adversaries. When Sanballat and Tobiah attempted to summon him, he recognized their invitation as a malicious trap and firmly refused to go. Like Nehemiah, let us exercise wisdom, caution, and vigilance when responding to requests, always mindful that the enemy prowls about seeking whom he may devour. When in doubt, seek divine wisdom and clarity from God before engaging in unfamiliar endeavors. Listen to that subtle, inner prompting, it is the Holy Spirit cautioning you.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word which warns us about hidden dangers in unexpected people and places. We seek, Almighty God, Your divine wisdom and the gift of discernment. Equipped and empower us, O God, to analyze deceptive and ungodly motives. Help us, Almighty God, to recognize those who are against us, and those who are disguised as true friends whose motives are evil. When the enemy comes in like a flood, we trust You, Lord to lift a standard against him. Nullify, every evil agenda orchestrated against us, Almighty God. We rely solely on Your divine protection and intervention in times of trouble. Build a hedge of protection around us and keep us safe from wolves in sheep's clothing. We affirm the promise of Isaiah over ourselves and family: that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment You shall condemn. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a prosperous day. 👏💕🙏
