Better Awaits You
Good morning
Scripture reading: Revelation 21
Praise song: Jerusalem
Meditation:
This world is unpredictable and full of trials, sadness, and disappointment; nevertheless, we hold onto the divine promise of a restored life through our Lord. A time is coming when suffering will cease, and God will bring an end to all sorrow, sickness, and death. While we look forward to the future, our focus should be on serving God fully and living his way. This life is a journey, not our final destination. For those who place their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, eternal life is assured. The dead in Christ shall rise first, and those who are alive when he shall return shall be caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and be with him forever.
As we serve the Lord with gladness, and worship Him in spirit and truth, let us
be prepared to meet Him. If you have not yet received Jesus Christ as your
Saviour, don't miss the opportunity to do so. It is better to struggle and face
hardship in life now for the glory of Jesus Christ than to enjoy life without
Christ and lose the opportunity to live in the holy city, New Jerusalem. Giving
God control of your life is the key to unlocking a more fulfilling existence.
Let us pray:
Gracious and glorious King, we offer you, our worship. While
we patiently await our eternal home, where we will be free from all suffering
and sorrow, please watch over us with your tender care. God, give us the
strength to wait on you with unwavering faith. Please help us to be patient,
trusting completely in your perfect timing and never letting our hope fade.
Lord, we confess that our strength often fails us, and we grow weary. We pray
for your unwavering strength to sustain us. Uphold us when the burdens of life
become too heavy and help us resist our sinful desires so that our souls may
find rest in you. Slay our fleshly desires, Lord, and help us to seek after
holiness and righteousness. Lord, we humbly ask you to rescue us when we are
tempted lest we yield to temptation and the plot of the evil one. Lead and
guide us as we seek a more intimate and personal walk with you, through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 👏💞🙏
