Whatsoever Thou Sowest

Good morning

Scripture reading: Galatians 6:1-10

Praise song: Sow mercy

Meditation:

In life, all beginnings originate from a seed that reproduces to generate offspring of its unique kind. God has ordained all plants to yield fruit of their own species. A farmer expects a harvest of peas from planting peas; similarly, we harvest the results of our deeds. The quality of the harvest depends on the quality of the seeds sown, exemplifying the principle that one will inevitably reap the consequences of their actions. There exist both good and bad seeds, so we should be cautious about sowing seeds, because whatever a man sows, he will one day reap. They that sow to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but they that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

The nature or extent of what we sow determines the nature or extent of what we harvest. If we sow compassion, love, peace, and kindness, we can anticipate favorable rewards, but if we sow hatred, bitterness, envy, and strife, sorrow will undoubtedly follow. Our seeds will produce a yield regardless of the soil quality. Therefore, we should think seriously about the seeds we sow, for the harvest is always more than the size of the seed.

As you sow today, ensure the seed you sow yields spiritual gain with lasting rewards. The choices made today will shape the reality of tomorrow.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, merciful Redeemer and Friend, our Comforter and Helper, I thank You, O Lord, for Your word of wisdom. Almighty God, we acknowledge that our actions bear consequences, and we will ultimately reap the fruits of our conduct. I pray, Lord, that Your word will penetrate hardened hearts and begin to germinate. Merciful God, many of us find ourselves facing an unfavorable harvest resulting from the wrong seeds we have sown. Father, we sincerely confess the seeds planted during our trespasses and sins. We pray, O God, that whatever we have sown to the flesh, Your grace and mercy will cancel it. We humbly seek Your mercy and believe that Your sufficient grace can restore our barren fields, uproot and eradicate that which was planted in deceit. Father, we pray for the renewal of our minds so that our lives may be transformed, as we sow to the Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a joyful day. 👏🙌🙏

  1. Many people harvest they don't want to reap because they forget that they had sown those seeds. Let us know what we are sowing. 🙏🙏
