Beware of Deceivers

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Genesis 27:1-33 Worship song: Waiting Here for You   Meditation:      Deception derives from the Latin word 'decipere', meaning "to ensnare or "to take in." It is the deliberate act of leading someone to accept falsehood as truth. This practice is harmful and contrary to God's will. The cunning tactics employed by Jacob and Rebekah in planning and executing their mission illustrate just how easily manipulation strategies can be used to accomplish one's desire. Deception was the concept used by Rebekah to deceive Isaac and help Jacob obtain the blessing intended for his brother Esau.      Proverbs 11:18 informs us that the work of the wicked is to deceive the vulnerable. Psalm 101:7 warns us that those who engage in deceit will not dwell within the house of the Lord. The verse further emphasizes that those liars will not endure in His sight. The Bible contains numerous examples of deception and warnings against ...

Breakthrough Praise

Image
Good morning   Scripture reading: Acts 16:16-36 Worship song: Falling on My Knees   Meditation:      Deliverance and breakthroughs occur based on our response to challenging times and difficult situations. It is vital to thank God and honor Him not just during moments of blessings, but in every circumstance. Our praise, especially in times of difficulty, significantly influences the vastness of our deliverance and breakthrough. Praise is about more than clapping our hands; it is about wholeheartedly glorifying God with our heart, mind, spirit, and body.       Paul and Silas exemplify this truth by not waiting for their breakthrough to begin praising God. Even while imprisoned and bound by chains, they earnestly prayed to God, singing, rejoicing, and expressing gratitude. Their sincere worship prompted God to shake the very foundations of the prison; the chains became loose, and the prison doors opened miraculously, setting them...

The Will of God

Image
Good morning   Scripture reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Worship song: Gratitude   Meditation:      The divine command by God is to give thanks not just for some things but for all things. We are called to express gratitude not just for abundant blessings but also for the hardships and challenges that shape us. The word of God asserts that in everything we must give thanks, for this is His will for us. Understanding God’s will empower us to appreciate and express gratitude no matter the trials we encounter.       Living with a grateful heart signifies our faith in God's goodness and sovereignty even amidst difficulties. Each act of gratitude reflects our appreciation for God's unwavering provision, mercy, grace, and sovereignty. We must find ways to express gratitude for even the smallest blessings and avoid murmuring and complaining.       In Romans 8:28, we are assured that all things, good and bad, work together...

Believe And Receive

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 4:46-53 Worship song: Lord I Believe in You   Meditation:      The key to receiving what you desire when it aligns with God's will is unwavering faith, trust, and strong belief. Your faith influences the outcome, and the outcome depends on your expectations. The nobleman travelled approximately 20 miles from Capernaum to Cana, motivated by his belief that Jesus had the power to heal his seriously ill son. When he approached Jesus, he discovered that distance did not prevent him from receiving his miracle. Through the profession of his own belief and the faith of his entire household, his son was healed immediately.       Belief is the driving force that fuels faith. A deep, strong belief is crucial for activating and exercising faith, especially amid uncertainties and doubt. In Matthew 21:22, Jesus assures us, whatever we shall ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive. This promise is also recor...

Testimony - God's Divine Help

Image
Good morning Day of Testimony I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Psalms 121:1-2   Worship song: Such an Awesome God   Testimony:      Trusting in God and believing in his matchless power fills us with incredible joy and gladness, especially when we receive uncommon favor. No matter the challenges we face, we can be confident that God will work everything out, for nothing is impossible with Him.       I vividly remember one night as I played the song 'Who Am I' repeatedly, the tears began to flow. I endorse the songwriter of 'Who Am I' and gratefully lament that I looked into the mirror and saw the face of someone who was given life in a way. I didn't earn or attain it; freely it was given, and freely He can take it. I have been forgiven. I must have been mistaken for someone sinless, for someone who was blameless. Why did he choose me? I...

Those Who Mourn

Image
Good Morning Day of Prayer - Those who mourn Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 Worship Song: I Am Not Alone   Let us pray:      Omnipresent, Everlasting Father, I raise a hallelujah to you, O God, for comforting those who mourn. Father, in the depths of our hearts, we carry the weight of sadness and the ache of mourning. Almighty God, we acknowledge these emotions for they are a testament to the love we held for those we have lost and the pain of their absence in our lives. Almighty God, when tragedies strike, when we feel hopeless, and when we can't understand why our loved ones are taken, I pray that we will find solace in you, Lord. Father, in our mourning, grant us strength and help us bear the heavy weight of our sorrow. In difficult times, in times of bewilderment, wrap your loving arms around us like a blanket, mighty God. Compassionate Jesus, heal our broken hearts and bind up our wounds.     ...

Talk to Jesus Anytime

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 65:14 Worship song: Royal Telephone   Meditation:      We all encounter those moments of desperation when we reach out for help, only to find that the person we need cannot be reached. It is frustrating to deal with busy signals or recordings, especially when assistance is needed urgently. We have all experienced the frustration of trying to make a call only to be graced with a recording or a busy signal. Thankfully, this is not the scenario with Jesus Christ. There are no communication glitches. In fact, He is always available, never too busy for us. He is always on the line, waiting and listening.       You can call on Jesus at any time, be it morning, noon, or night. As stated in his word, which can be found in several scriptures, "He shall call upon me, and I will answer you: I will be with you in trouble." There are no I am not available at the moment recordings, no do-not-disturb signs, and no...

Words Can Either Bless or Curse

Image
Good morning Scripture reading: James 3: 1-12 Worship song: Ancient Words   Meditation:      James, a devoted servant of God, powerfully illustrated the influence of the tongue, emphasizing its unpredictable behavioral nature. Our speech is like a lethal weapon with the potential to be a potent tool for either uplifting and inspiring others or tearing them down. Words are incredibly powerful; they can damage character, ignite anger, condemn, curse, and destroy the spirit and self-esteem of others. As well, the tongue can also bless, motivate, comfort, praise, and encourage.       As children of God, our words must reflect the teachings of God and be used to strengthen, motivate, and encourage those we encounter. Therefore, no harmful words should proceed from our lips, but only those that are wholesome and edifying, that they may minister grace unto the hearers. Our speech should always be uttered with loving kindness, seasoned with salt, ...
