This Massive Obstacle

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Mark 11:19-26

Worship song: Move Mountain

Meditation:

Upon noticing the fig tree had completely withered from the roots, Peter pointed out to Jesus that the tree he cursed had died. Jesus immediately saw the perfect opportunity to teach Peter and the rest of the disciples about faith, prayer, and forgiveness. He instructed them to speak directly to the mountains and commanded them to move. It takes faith as small as a mustard seed for our mountains to crumble. This is an indication that when unwavering faith is exercised we can conquer obstacles. Jesus assured the disciples that any prayer request made with total, unwavering trust in God would be granted.

Nevertheless, our prayers for grace are only effective when we release others from the debt of their offenses against us. Jesus emphasizes the need to forgive those who trespass against us so that our Father in Heaven will forgive us. Through prayer, we build a closer relationship with God by expressing praise, gratitude, and confession. As we pray, expecting favorable answers we must align our will with God's will.

Let us pray:

Merciful Father, clothed in splendor and majesty, our God, in whom we trust, we praise and adore you for your divine power. As we reflect and meditate on your holy word, we pray, O God, that our hearts will be aligned with your will. Father, we humbly offer our shortcomings to You, trusting in Your strength. Where anger, bitterness, envy, and strife abide, replace them, O God, with love, kindness, empathy, and peace. Remove the stronghold of unforgiveness, remove our stony hearts, O God, and grant us a heart of compassion and mercy. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Father, as we speak with unwavering faith to the strongholds that bind us, we declare them demolished by the matchless power of Almighty God. We declare every stronghold broken and we are walking in total freedom in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💪🙏
