Sharing the Journey
Good morning
Day of Testimony- The Good Old Days
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Worship song: Make A Way
Meditation:
Reflecting on my childhood, I realize that the ability to make the best of a situation constitutes true happiness, rather than merely possessing the best of everything. We did not have much, but we were satisfied and sincerely grateful. On some nights, we had no dinner, and sometimes breakfast was merely dumplings roasted over coal, served with lime leaf tea. To us, lotion was coconut oil, and charcoal was toothpaste. Despite being stuffed with grass and dried banana leaves in flour sacks, our bed was surprisingly comfortable. We spent our evenings playing outdoors until dusk, after which we would gather on the floor, sharing stories by the flickering light of a makeshift kerosene bottle torch. That was a period when families genuinely connected and made time for each other.
Today, we spend more time isolated behind screens and less time
engaging in communication. Nevertheless, I have cultivated a grounded sense of
patience and humility that allows me to feel content and at peace, regardless
of my circumstances. When I acknowledge the struggles I have endured, I gain a
deeper appreciation for the blessings of the present so when you see me smiling
please don't tear me down.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, I am grateful to you, Lord, for my upbringing,
which enables me to be content and thankful in every situation. I am
exceedingly grateful, Almighty God, for my life’s experiences that have taught
me to appreciate the seemingly insignificant things. With a heart of gratitude,
I thank you, Lord, that your peace is not dependent on worldly circumstances or
human standards. I am grateful, Lord, that the struggles I have endured, have
cultivated within me a deeper appreciation for the blessings of the present.
Father, thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives. Thank you,
Lord, for bringing hope through even the toughest of times, and for
strengthening us for your purposes. Forgive us for when we don't thank you
enough, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💕💪🙏
Amen
ReplyDeleteWhat a testimony. It is this kind that propell you and others forward. Anytime one dare to walk away from the faith, it is chains like these stories pull you and others back. Don't give up the fight, God is at work in our situations. Stand firm and having done all to stand, stand. Bless up. 💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏💕❤️
