Let us pray:

    Sovereign Lord, we acknowledge that none can compare to your matchless worth. You are God alone; no foreign deity nor Baal-zebub, can reign in your stead. This morning I praise you, O God, and worship you as the Almighty, powerful, omnipresent creator of the universe. You are King of all kings and Lord of all lords, the great I am, the Prince of peace, and our Redeeming King. You are worthy, Lord, and deserving of all praise. We are profoundly grateful to you, Lord, for your indescribable gift, which grants us access to the throne of grace. 

    We thank you wholeheartedly, Lord God, for Your redeeming blood, and Your unconditional, steadfast love that endures forever. We thank you, Lord God, for your faithfulness and for honoring your covenant with Abraham, despite our faults and disobedience. From the depths of our hearts, we thank you, O God, for your boundless grace, unmerited mercy, and for the forgiveness of our sins. Almighty God, we are grateful for the gospel, for the disciples you equipped to uplift us and guide us in the truth. We rejoice in your daily provision, restoration, healing power, and the angels assigned to watch over us. 

We thank you, Almighty God, for calming the storms in our lives, for divine protection, and for covering us with your blood. Heavenly Father, thank you for pulling down strongholds, binding the strongman, and destroying the fiery darts of the adversary. Thank you, Lord, for defeating death and the grave, granting us victory and access to eternal life. We are in awe of your goodness, Lord, and we sincerely thank you through Jesus Christ. Amen.

To highlight his gratitude for God's divine protection, King David recited a victorious psalm of celebration, praising God for delivering him from all his adversaries and dispersing those too mighty for him, including Saul.
