The trial

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Matt 26 & 27

Worship song: Mercy walked in

Meditation:

Miscarriages of justice and errors of impunity can erode public trust in the criminal justice system and have devastating consequences for individuals, families, and society. There are persons imprisoned, who are wrongfully convicted because of a miscarriage of justice, and there are criminals who are freed because of errors of impunity.

Over 2000 years ago, a false accusation led to the arrest, trial, conviction, and ultimately crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Although he was blameless, full of kindness, compassion, and love, and had no criminal record, he was unjustly condemned to die. Evil intentions were ultimately overruled by divine providence, transforming his death into a means of universal salvation. This was the appointed moment for God to fulfill His pledge, providing a way of salvation for all mankind.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for the remission of our sins, granting us the opportunity to obtain eternal life. To receive this gift, we must fully surrender our hearts, minds, and souls to Christ without reservation.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, great are you Lord, and greatly to be praised. Your greatness is unsearchable. I will forever exalt you, O God, my King. Almighty God, the God who rescues the perishing and cares for the dying, mighty in battle, only you, O God, know why the innocent pay the penalty for a crime they didn't commit. Mighty God, I honor You, for You were once crucified and died a cruel death to pay the price for our sins. Awesome God, have mercy upon those who have been incarcerated wrongfully. Comfort the broken and weary-hearted, Lord, and give them the strength to cope in the midst of adversity. Please sustain them during these challenges, allowing them to experience Your comfort and find hope in You, the God who walks with us through all trials. Almighty God, may they experience true freedom in You and commit their lives entirely to Your will. Please touch them in a personal way, guide their steps, and surround them with Your divine protection, through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

Wishing you a peaceful day. ✌💪🙏
