Move Mountain
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Matthew 17:14-21
Worship song: Who Are You Great Mountain
The emotional story of a desperate father's concern for his son's well-being serves as a reminder that faith is not about evidence; it is about believing and hoping for a favorable outcome despite uncertainty. Jesus demonstrated that faith is sustained by hope, not evidence. At Jesus' command, the tormenting spirit immediately departed, bringing an end to the boy's emotional suffering. The comforting message of Jesus reveals the power through faith to overcome obstacles that seem impossible.
Jesus used mountains as a metaphor to compare the daunting, seemingly impossible obstacles in life, illustrating that with even a tiny amount of unwavering faith, we can overcome challenges that block our path. With a faith anchored in God's power, like a tiny mustard seed, we can overcome the mountain-sized obstacles that disrupt our spiritual, physical, or emotional state. The lesson is not about the size of our faith, but a profound declaration that no matter how massive or immovable a problem may seem, we can trust God's ability to work through us to achieve victory.
Let us pray:
Father, I thank you for assuring us that our mustard seed
faith is powerful enough to conquer any un-subdued obstacle we may encounter
during our spiritual journey. We are grateful, Lord, for your divine guidance
that helps us walk by faith and not by sight. Lord, we believe that all things
are possible through you and that the testing of our faith produces
perseverance. Empower our mustard seed faith, mighty God, to withstand trials
and temptations. Father, by your authority and through the power of Christ, we
declare strongholds bound, evil altars dismantled, and every tormenting spirit
defeated in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you joy, peace, and happiness. ✌👏🙏
Faith is an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roar. We have come this far by faith leaning on the Lord. How else could we have made it. There are so much that is factored in our development and relationship with the Lord nothing should be made light of. Let us be steadfast and unmovable. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 💪💪💪💪🙏
