No Greater Love
Scripture reading: St. John 15:9-16
Worship song: Where The Timbers Cross
Meditation:
Reflecting on the unconditional love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ to humanity, as documented in His sacred word, concludes the verse in our scripture that states there is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friends. The Word of God affirms that there is no greater gift than amazing grace. The measure of love is not found in what one receives, but in how much one is willing to give. Jesus demonstrated His love through his voluntary sacrificial life for our iniquities.
The scripture details His intense persecution and the shedding of His blood, which was essential for humanity's redemption. He was nailed to the cross, His life freely given for us so unworthy of the blood, and yet He died to set us free from the penalty of our transgressions. When Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, we were entirely undeserving and unlovable, hopelessly captive to our sin. His sacrifice was the ultimate demonstration of unmerited grace.
Today, I stand complete in Christ,
for His blood was applied, granting me eternal life. All the years I spent
seeking in vain for something genuine and true, were fulfilled when I found the
missing piece in Jesus Christ. A relationship with Christ is the greatest
wealth worth more than diamonds, pearls, and gold, and cannot be exchanged for
anything else.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, I am grateful for your gift of amazing grace,
sacrificial love, faithfulness, and unmerited grace. Loving Savior, Your love
and the depth of your care mean the world to me. I praise you, O God, for the
wholeness I found when I laid my life completely at your feet. Draw me closer
to You, Lord, and pull me nearer to your heart. Let my own desires fade so that
your light may shine brighter in me. Almighty God, I am seeking You from a dry
place, a place where my soul thirsts for You, asking that You satisfy this
drought and make my spirit like a spring of water that never fails. I want to
know You more, Lord, for there is more to You than I know now. Silence the
noise so I can hear you, speaking Lord, for Your guidance is my priority in
this current season. Guide me toward Your ultimate purpose for my life, Lord,
and guide me into Your presence, as I seek more of You in the mighty name of
Jesus. Amen.
Wishing you a joyful day. 👏💕🙏
