Meditation:

    It is difficult to maintain your composure and remain calm, gentle, and peaceful among those who display hostile and arrogant behaviour. Still, we must possess the attributes of the fruit of the Spirit, which serve as evidence to prove that we are truly children of God. While Jesus sat with the multitude and his disciples, he taught them about the beatitudes and the reward of possessing such qualities. One of the beatitudes that are important in the life of a child of God is having the spirit of meekness. Meekness is an attribute of the Saviour that is desperately needed today. It is a spiritual gift obtained through the Holy Spirit. Those who possess such qualities have a humble attitude that expresses wisdom, self-control, patience, and a calmness that is not easily provoked. 

    Being meek does not mean you are a coward, it shows that you are pursuing righteousness, godliness, gentleness, perseverance, and patient endurance of offenses. Jesus refers to the meek as blessed. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that taketh a city. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. As children of God, let us seek earnestly to obtain meekness, and be kind to one another. Let us be mindful of how we react to criticism, slander, or unjust treatment.

Let us pray:

    Everlasting Father, slow to anger, matchless in splendor and power, faithful to all generations, you are good and your mercies endure forever. Almighty God, most holy and righteous, at your feet I bow, seeking to dwell daily in your presence, for you are the true and living wise God who liberates and frees us from spiritual bondages. Grant us enduring strength, the spirit of meekness, and hearts that know how to withstand difficult times and the malicious acts of the ungodly. Almighty God, I earnestly wait upon you to equip us with the fruit of the Spirit. Empower us, O God, with patience, the peace of God, gentleness, love, and compassion so that we may display the attributes of our Savior, and shine as children of light through Jesus Christ. Amen.

    What a blessing that is pronounced on the meek, this is one of the characteristics of a kingdom kid. We can only obtain this blessing by the help of God through Christ and the Holy Spirit. Temperance plays a role in this also. To be considered meek in these days takes nuff and plenty nuff of Jesus. May we be help to be considered meek. 🙏🙏💪

Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 8:31-36 Worship song: I'm Free   Meditation:      The prophet Isaiah foretold that an anointed messenger, guided by the Spirit of the Lord, would bring good news, set the captives free, and release the imprisoned (Isaiah 61). In St. Luke 4:18-21, Jesus read this exact scripture to the people of Nazareth and declared Himself the fulfillment of that prophecy, revealing Himself as the promised Messiah sent to deliver and rescue humanity from spiritual bondage and the oppression of sin.       Jesus came as the perfect, sinless Son of God, offering redemption and freedom from sin's dominion. Good morning Scripture reading: Luke 9:23-27 Worship song: Let Me Lose Myself   Meditation:      Committing oneself to be a disciple of Jesus entails dedicating one's entire life to practicing His teachings and following in His footsteps. Self-denial is imperative for every follower of Jesus Christ, requiring us to surrender our fleshly desires and submit them to God's authority. Jesus affirms, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
